These guys will be missed! I am so thankful they left such a great legacy behind! The Family is only strong when the upper classmen become examples for those coming up. How could you follow these guys and not want to give your all to live up to their example!

I think no matter what else goes down before these two close their careers, this will be one of the storied senior classes in UNC history. There is really nothing these two didn't accomplish in terms of team success. The question just remains as to what the final chapter of their time at Chapel Hill will look like.
Amen. IIRC, we've had one run of BTBTB Final Fours in our storied history. If we do it again, Roy would have to be considered among the top 5 college coaches of all time. Period.
Yeah 67-69 we hit 3 in a row, we’ve hit 3 of 4 twice (95/97-98 and 97-98/00) but if they could do 3 in a row it would be special
And to have done it during our interminable NCAA investigation would make it even more impressive. I don't know that a UNC basketball coach has ever faced more adversity.
If you guys remember I posted this after the Notre Dame game because I thought it was really great representation of who Joel is. And listening to it again makes me once again proud of what Joel has grown into and how he has embodied being the true leader of this team on and off the court. In addition to all his achievements, what makes him and Theo's time here so great was how they went about their business by representing Carolina in a great way that I know makes Roy very proud.
dook can talk all they want, but there is nothing and will never be anything like the Carolina FAMILY!! And what Joel and Theo have done here and will do once they graduate, will continue to add to it and that right there is what it’s all about.
In Roy’s last presser leading up to the Cuse game, Steve Kirschner brought up a story about Theo stepping up as a Freshman 7 games into the year and being the vocal leader in the locker room after the Iowa loss. I thought it was just another great story as it showed the impact that Theo had in the locker room from Day 1 and how the effect that he has on his teammates only continued and magnified into a staple that has been apart of the dynamic of the teams he has been on.
Watching these videos and reading all the stories about Joel and Theo .... man, it must be dusty in here. LOL. I am gonna miss those two immensely.
There's going to be an ocean of tears Tuesday night. The class of Joel, Theo, and JJ will go down as one of my very favorite UNC classes of all time, ahead of some much more talent laden classes. But this class had that special combination of talent, loyalty, and exuberance that is very rare.
I'm extremely disappointed in all of you. These guys have given us some great memories and all you can do is copy someone else's work? For shame. You've got to put some effort into it and do it yourself. Let me show you how it's done.

Good post, Arch. All the things you said, PLUS the perseverence and character and integrity to come here and stay here through all the AFAM BS - when you know there were plenty of people in their ears all the time about how they should go somewhere else. That is something that makes these guys unique, and beloved - their loyalty to Roy and the Heels Family and the basketball program, when it at times could've looked alluring to go somewhere else and possibly benefit themselves personally. Definition of character, in my book.

Yeah, I think recordings of the speeches would end up on GoHeels or Twitter or something. Might just be snippets, but they usually end up somewhere.
Just turn on the radio after the game and you can listen to them. Jones and Eric will be sobbing in the background.......just like the rest of us. They usually stay on the air for the speeches.
I just watched the dang press conf Theo and Joel had.....teared up watching that......been a LOT of fun watching them 2 play.....man
