People say that still, as well. At least I've always heard it growing up.Fixin' -as in getting ready to do something. My favorite is "Fixin' to say!"
It's mostly people my age though, right? As in, I'm fixin' to tell the Rams Club to get the hell out of dodge!People say that still, as well. At least I've always heard it growing up.

Yes.Speaking of old sayings...
If someone asks if you'll be here tomorrow and you say "God willing and the creek don't rise," do you mean yes, unless there is a lot of rain and the creek rises and drowns everyone? Or do you mean yes, unless the Creek Nation rises and goes on a rampage and kills everyone?
One in every crowd...Yes.
Jammiest bits of jam is better.gnarly.....That chick is gnarly man!!! Probably depends on the area you grew up in....I have heard it to mean nasty and I have heard it to mean sweet!!!!
Weird. I know folks from Cairo and Thomasville who refer to SW Ga as "SoWeGa" (pronounced "so-WE-ja"). Did y'all refer to it as SoEega? Lol.In SoGa I grew up hearing "I didn't go to" instead of "I didn't mean to". My wife and kids have heard it so often they say it now, lol.
