It had started sleeting with some snow mixed in here in Clemson but has stopped for a bit. I'll wake up to a nightmare to have to drive in I am sure.

Its been wind snowing here in Elkin for the past couple of hour, nothing sticking yet but the snacks are flying off the shelves.
Man, you must love when these "storms" roll through. Gets every moron and their brother to go buy as much food and supplies as they can fit in their cars in preparation for the apocalypse - as if they won't be able to go on living their lives as normal in a couple days anyways...
It really is weird. Do most people not have enough food in their houses to get through two or three days? I'm far more concerned about losing power or water than running out of food.
Morons?? No, my good man, they are smart people who know that they will die if they have to spend the weekend without some homemade pimento cheese from the Yadkin Valley General Store.
I just went to the liquor store in order to not have to worry about any of the rest of it.
I think at this point, it's as much about being caught up in the excitement.
I did just go to the liquor store as I was down to my last drink of bourbon and had to run out to take a daughter to work (she's 17 and I don't want her to drive on ice if it happens).
Earlier I had to go to Target because I have another sick daughter who was allowed to eat only Apple Sauce or rice and we didn't have Apple sauce. Target was a piece of cake and there was plenty of bread left. I however got bacon, eggs, grits and a case of beer (and the aforementioned Apple sauce). I usually don't make a big breakfast but since we aren't going anywhere tomorrow morning, why the hell not?
There were only about 3 people in line too- it would have taken longer to go to Chick fil a.
No cream cheese but we do use Dukes Mayo. I would tell you the recipe but I would have to kill you. No kidding I've never had anything close to our PC. We sell tons of it.
Never had yours but Conrad & Hinkle out of Lexington has the best pimento cheese God blessed people to make. I'd be willing to try a free sample of yours though to see.

I absolutely love their beer. I get it on draft anywhere I can find it.
It's my favorite beer too. I will buy the bottles for special occasions given that a 12 pack is $20. But damn they're tasty.
I'm pretty sure Red Oak is also @TarHeelNation11 's favorite beer. He says it pairs well with the breakfast burrito from WaWa.

At least the neighbor won't blow leaves today.... but I'm sure he's got a snow blower.
Yeah my leaf blowing neighbor is from Michigan but surprisingly he doesn't have one.
Greenville. Eastern NC, but not really the coast. Apparently the snow stopped at I-95 just like state funding.
Apparently mine doesn't either as he is out there with a snow shovel as I type
They were calling for you guys to get a lot more than the western part of the state.
In case you're suffering withdrawals @UNC71-00 my neighbor is out with a leaf blower this moment blowing the snow off his porch and sidewalk.
Lucky you; ended up with 8" that I just had to shovel off the driveway and sidewalk. Fortunately got done just in time to watch some playoff football.
I have never understood shoveling snow when living in the South. You know that stuff is going to melt by Wed, right?
