I read that AD Currie was in LA interviewing Leach before Doeren announced his "no".

So did Currie even offer Doeren? Perhaps Currie has just been interviewing lots of people? How do we know the offer was even floated to Doeren?

Andy Staples says Currie and Leach had come to a basic agreement, which is the first step to hiring.

DD is going to be fun to watch next year. He played hardball against a very vindictive AD (Gary Williams reference) when he had the upper hand. Next year he needs to play Hellen Keller with a completely rebuilt D to avoid a losing season. With the usual stupidity inherent in the wusspack, he has set himself up for a screwing of epic proportions.
