You are getting way too worked up over a basketball game. When you get a chance to calm down, look back and see if you can find one season where we didn't have a dumb loss in ACC play. If we shit the bed next game I'll get concerned, but I'm not going to freak out about something I already knew was going to happen.

Let's face it coryfly, unlike all other coaches across the country, including the NBA, RW is the only one who doesn't use timeouts as a tool to win games. Unless forced with a media TO, he simply will not call a timeout.
IMO if he had called a TO immediately after Page hit that double clutch-3, we win that game. Same thing with this years Kentucky game. But, unfortunately, because of his stubbornness or his inability to strategicly use TOs, if we are not winning by 8 or more points- TROUBLE!!!!

Cal doesn't call many timeouts either. Both coaches play fast and let the chips fall. Cal will see a 10 point lead erased and still won't call it. They are defensive minded guys who don't want other to set up and want to score in transition. Calling 5 timeouts a half plus the tv timeouts defies the logic of their style.

Cal has 4 final fours and a title in the last 7 years

Roy has 2 championships since coming to UNC.

I think their philosophies on this are proven.

And not to take a shot at UNC, but the four corners nonsense really put a bad taste in the mouths of many. Whether you care or not. And to me at least, watching UK and UNC are the funnest basketball games to watch today. So that's my opinion. Try watching Duke after that UNC UK game. Terrible product. Plenty of timeouts for you to chose from so you can watch the Rat gnaw a hole in an officials head.

One thing I've always wondered about Though. How did Roy get so emerged into playing a fast style? I know dean played slow basketball and Roy seems to be the opposite.

Roy's teams always have a WTF conference loss. Even the championship teams didn't go undefeated. I'm not going to worry about this one right now. So far everything is turning out just like it normally does. No need to freak out unless we start playing like this for multiple games.

This. Conference play on the road is always tough and this year is no exception. Prior to yesterday, every ACC team had a winning record and 11 teams had 2 losses or less. I can't remember the ACC being as strong a conference top to bottom as this season.

The whole ACC was turned upside down this weekend, we lost to GT, duke lost to Va Tech, Syracuse lost to BC, UVa lost, Clemson lost, Louisville may have as well.
