I was no fan of Pete. I'm an O's guy and hated the Reds back when Rose played for them. And I didn't like Philly any better. But, he's kind of like Ratface to me, I can hate the guy and still give him his due.

Now that he's unable to enjoy and capitalize on it, I wouldn't be shocked to see baseball change the ban to allow him in the HOF. It just makes no sense that the all time hits leader isn't in. As to the betting scandal, while he committed the ultimate sin, I never saw any evidence that he threw a game as a player or manager. He was betting on himself winning as far as I know.

Exactly! And not only did he lie he was a complete jack ass in doing it. Imo he got what he deserved. But now that he’s dead, go ahead and do it.
