I was no fan of Pete. I'm an O's guy and hated the Reds back when Rose played for them. And I didn't like Philly any better. But, he's kind of like Ratface to me, I can hate the guy and still give him his due.

Now that he's unable to enjoy and capitalize on it, I wouldn't be shocked to see baseball change the ban to allow him in the HOF. It just makes no sense that the all time hits leader isn't in. As to the betting scandal, while he committed the ultimate sin, I never saw any evidence that he threw a game as a player or manager. He was betting on himself winning as far as I know.

i could’ve agreed to him being in the hof if he didn’t lie about it and would’ve just come clean.

it was lifetime ban, now that he’s gone, he’ll probably get in.
