I disagree 100%. In my opinion. The Federal Government's #1 responsibility and priority is for the safety and defense of us and our allies. We cannot do any of the above you listed without this. Real peace is not achieved the pacifism. That had been proven throughout human history. REAL Peace is achieved through strength and conviction for liberty.

Therefore, the #1 item for spending should be defense. The government could spend money on nothing else and we would be a much better place because we would figure it out and not depend on the government every time we stubbed our toe. And since our economy is bigger that any in the world we should spend more that any other country on defense. That makes the world more peaceful.

Obama put them on cruise missiles. That didn't have to be done to modernize them. Even Hillary didn't agree with that. It would have been just as easy to destroy the warhead instead of making it more deadly. We live in a country lead by assholes. That doesn't mean every person in it is one. I know we will never have peace because we will always have assholes in the world. It's just wishful thinking on my part. After this life we will all finally know peace though so all hope isn't lost at least.
