Well we survived .... Terrible finish at the line.... almost gave it away .NO DOUBT Joel is hurting and badly IMO

Kennedy was spectacular and so too was Theo !!

Nate a solid game with key shots and assists

JJ was very very good, especially when we needed a clutch shot

Isaiah disappeared and was a nonfactor

Luke seemed lost at times and made dumb plays

Joel is REALLY in pain and was just assaulted by Oregon... Knocked around like a piñata

Oregon reminds of UK East ....over and over and over they get these BS "driving" fouls that to their credit they made a ton at the FT line

Without those many many many FTs they are not even close

Carolina played a B- game and hung on BARELY to win and survive to Monday night

Joel will gut it out but we need a much better overall game from EVERYONE

I STILL Like our chances

GO HEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have got to get solid production from Hicks and Maye on Monday. They combined for 4 points and 6 rebounds. That is pathetic.

Poor Berry is giving us all he's got. I hope somebody shows him the post game tape where all the talking heads have pretty much played him for dead. I hope he shows up monday and kills it. Need JJ and Meeks to play at a high level again.

Hicks has been our missing piece down the stretch the last month. It's amazing we've made it as far as we have with him playing like complete shit. Step up big fella. This is your last shot in baby blue.

CBS talking heads sure do like Gonzaga, which is fine by me. Just interesting.

I'm not convinced Berry's problems tonight were entirely ankle related. I like what Kenny Smith said in the post game....Berry took 14 shots. Injured players don't take 14 shots. Now I'm not screaming from the mountaintop that he isn't bothered but I think some of his play tonight was just a bad game. I'd keep an eye on him Monday night to see if he don't get the monkey off his back.

I don't like how Oregon was the beneficiary of many foul calls on several possessions during the second half. I can't help but think free throws kept them in the game. Heck, they made 25 of them. 25 points from the line. There was a stretch where they didn't make a field goal for nearly 6 minutes in the second half yet they were able to cut into our lead.

Going forward, though, I was nervous about this game and Monday is no different.

We gotta keep our big guys out of foul trouble Monday night and our guards are gonna have to be on. All season I've thought Gonzaga was overrated but they've made the championship game for a reason, though, they've had a fairly easy walk.

I think Gonzaga is going to be sent packing big-time.

Nothing against USC, but, USC was a Cinderella fluke. We've played much better teams all season, and better teams in the tournament and we've beaten them with us playing at about 70% in some cases. Kentucky, Butler, Oregon, Arkansas, TSU are who we've played in this tournament alone. Gonzaga played WVA, USC, Xavier, and Northwestern. That's not counting the ACC teams that we play that are just slightly better (sarcasm) than St. Marys, Loyola-Marymount, Pacific, Santa Clara and Pepperdine. The ACC schedule alone makes us more tempered. We have it and we'll do it. Carolina will make this happen. No way do we lose back-to-back finals to a private catholic school.

Zags are good but did people watch their game? Everyone acts like they played a great game. They choked away a 14 point lead and lost the lead to USC Jr. and South Carolina had a chance to tie it at the end. I don't know why everyone is acting like the Zags have played great. WVU and even NW had them by the balls for portions of their games. They gave up massive leads in their game against NW and USC Jr. We give them our best game and we win. They are very good but we shouldn't sell ourselves short.

And, the Gamecocks scored 73 points on the Zag's stellar defense. The GAMECOCKS scored 73!

The Gamecocks were playing as good as anybody, they did something we failed to do in the ACC tourney, beat dook, what worries me the most about Gonzaga is that big 7ft monster they have, hope the heels get their running game going and wears him down.

Pretty much dead on. Luke's first foul was bogus though, he never came close to even touching the guy the said he shoved. Weird tiny travels 2 xs on Oregon, 3-4 times on us, yet Oregon guy picked up his dribble outside the 3 point arc and ran all the way to the hoop, and not from dead on, from the side. No whistle and he scores. Just whacky weird stuff. Hicks fouled 3-4 times minimum while shooting and never makes it to the line? Really? 12 shots and never makes it to the line? Weird, whacky stuff......

I like the way you talk.

My concern is Hicks. Meeks will have his hands full with their giant. which means Hicks has to do something... SOMETHING, anything... he has to show up. Getting blocked on a dunk is one thing. Missing a point blank layup seconds later let me know It was in his head. He never recovered outside of a really great dunk. I do agree he was fouled several times with no calls. However, he's been missing his free throws too. He used to be terrific from the charity stripe

montross said berry was hurting because his shot is much flatter than normal.
There is zero doubt that Joel is hurting big time, his explosiveness just isn't there. As for "players that are hurt don't put up 14 shots", that's utter BS. Joel was trying to help us any way he could. Unfortunately, he and Isaiah nearly shot us out of a trip to the finals. When Joel missed two FT's in the closing seconds, it verified just how much he was hurting. If he and Isaiah don't play significantly better Monday, we will lose. Isaiah has disappeared completely.

I'm more disappointed in Isaiah this year, and especially down the stretch, than anyone else by far. I say give some of those minutes to Tony, he certainly can't do any worse than Isaiah has been doing.

Yea Hicks needs to get his head right. Collins and Williams are a bad match up for Hicks. I think Theo and JJ are the difference in win or loss Monday night. Gonzaga can't match the length and size of those 2 guys. JJ if shooting well? Should be able to put 20-30 pts on the Zags.

This.

Hicks playing well can win us this title. If he doesn't, we're going to have a battle.

We usually have the right guy showing up when we need it... Luke last weekend, Kennedy and JJ last night. Even got some great contributions from Nate. Theo has struggled but came through in the last few minutes of Kentucky game, and nailed his FTs late again last night, not to mention the rebounds, assists and the big tip-out.

Hoping like hell that Joel can suck it up for this last game and give us a great performance. I feel like Meeks and JJ will be there for us again. As far as Isaiah goes.... man, who knows? We really need him to play well.
