I saw South AL play parts of 3 games last year. He looked like a solid young QB, physically tough.
at the same time as I read about Lopez, I read that Lamaleava was going to end up making maybe around half that amount, more like what Tenn. was offering. That's what floored me about Lopez....especially with Bryce coming in and Lamaleava available.
I think that Nico also wanted to be back in CA. His brother had signed with Arkansas and is also headed now to UCLA. Some CA guys will always choose to be in CA if they can.
When I saw USA play last year, what I saw in Lopez was great all round athleticism that featured great balance to go alms with great bounce. That maws that the guy could become a top level WR/WB and maybe even RB quickly. And if Belkichick tells highs best shot to make the NFL is a position the than QB, he would be a fool to move ASAP. Perhaps part of the dollar value for him is that the staff knows he is just a baller and could shine for UNC at another potion than QB is that is bets for the team.
^^^^^makes sense as far as it goes, but it still seems high to me.
