The wheels came off Mack's last class when others saw we failed with 4/5 stars on the roster. Losing to the wolpfack every year with their 2/3 star roster sealed the deal.

Belichik is not going to let them out-scheme us to upset us. I expect by year 2 we will crush them.

I thought about something the other day….What was his biggest win at UNC 1.0 or 2.0…..I can’t name it…..People kill me with he is the Greatest Coach ever at UNC… and yet he never won a damn ACC Title….

It's the point I was making when he left for Texas. But Mack the silver tongued devil had persuaded people that he took over UNC at its absolute lowest and somehow had saved UNC football. But Mack;s predecosr Crum had won the ACC, as had his predecessor. Big Jim Tatum came before that and I haven doubt that if he had died so young he would have won the ACC and maybe even the National Championship, as he had done at Maryland.

Those back to back 1-10 teams were coached by Mack Brown. That makes him the worst catch in UNC history in one important metric. And the fact that he blamed Crumb for those teams showed clearly then that Mack was a lying pile of shit who already knew his charm would allow him to get away with whoppers.

It is time for UNC football to recognize how much emotional damage Mack did to the Crum era players and assistants and invite them all back to celebrate the last UNC football ACC championship: 1980.
