Discussion
With 147 Total Possessions, it was another really slow game. By comparison, in the game against UVA there were 141 possessions. We've been between 146-156 in 5 of our last 6 games. We are averaging 159.4 possessions a game, but the program has averaged 169.0 (+/- 5.4) since 1996. Only the 1999 team played slower than this team, with 158.3 possessions per game.

If you look on Twitter for @Freeportkid, you'll see some recently posted stats showing an enormous dropoff in total efficiency when UNC goes from 4 to 3 starters in the game. Therefore, I'm pretty sure we will see a continuation of this very tight rotation, and continued slow pace so that players like Manek can make it to the end.

Louisville was notably great inside the arc, shooting 63%. It's a clip that only 36 teams in the last 946 have achieved, yet Louisville jacked up 47% of their attempts from beyond the arc.

UNC was also even better inside the arc, shooting 68%, a feat only accomplished 26 times in the last 946 outings. UNC, too, jacked up 47% of their shots from 3. That's an affinity for the 3 found in only 28 games in the last 946.

Makes you wonder what the coaches both benches were thinking, especially given that both teams were only 25% and 28% from 3.
