I want to win a title in baseball more than football. If this great team is eliminated due to three errors I’m gonna be pissed.
Great Season. Should have kept starter in. Errors proved costly.
I am heartbroken for this team! They know they made the plays that cost them their trip to the CWS and will live it for their entire lives.
It brought back memories of the final game in the CWS when we lost due to an error by the first baseman. Early 2000's against either Oregon or Oregon State.

Typical baseball results. Pitching collapsed and we went 2-3582 with RISP

Pitching was good in games one and three. The issue was hitting and fielding. We screw up a routine double play, Gallagher came back to earth and Luke was trying his best to play himself out of the first round. Then Forbes decided to pull a pitcher that was rolling.
Questionable decision-making on pitching changes and the inability to get hits with
RISP during the last two games contributed to the losses.

The E was really on the 1st baseman Federovicz (sp?), but may have been given to the 2nd baseman Frank Steed. Feddy was a catcher but playing 1st in that spot, not sure why. That may have been more on Fox.
Would have really liked for Forbes to keep Lynch in there and see what he could have done. Pitched great all game, would rather have had the rest of that inning on his shoulders. This one stings BAD. This team should be going to Omaha. Really thought that this was the team that was going to have the best shot of winning it all in quite a while.
What drives me crazy the most, is that Carolina was the better team overall. But you can't make critical errors like were made, and the runners left on base were so costly. Carolina should've had at minimum 7 runs yesterday. I'm sooooo bummed about this loss, I really wanted this for this group.

agreed on all fronts. big time egg laid in this series. Zona was a good, not great team in my opinion and we gave that series away, and would have arguably been the favorite to win it all if we made it to Omaha. baseball is a tough game, and not as easily predictable like basketball or football. that said, we definitely coughed up our best chance to win a title in baseball in a long time. dang it guys.
Was pretty sure it was whomever was at first since it reminded me of the infamous Mets play in the World Series.
in situations like these, which we have been in too often in various sports, I tend to feel like we let the pressure of the 'big stage' add on to the pressure of expectations added on to wanting the bigger stage too much defeat us. Too much pressure we put on the better team, ourselves.
eta...That being said, however, I'm taking the season to be what it was and if that's a moral victory, I'll accept that.

Huh? Kids played great. The stage last year wasn’t too big for us. Bottom line is Zona is a very good team that’s well coached. This Shiite happens in baseball
the kids played great for the most part and the kids and coaches ARE great in my book. But they choked in this huge game, as has happened before in similar circumstances, just as I indicate. Arizona is a good team and this kind of thing of course happens in any sport. But it has happened to us more than I like and I offered an opinion as to why. I stand by it.

I have no doubt they feel worse, but that has nothing to do with how the fans can feel.
If the eligible pitchers come back, then we could have a top 10 staff again. Looks like we grabbed what is expected to be Stokley's replacement in the portal. Now we just have a few known holes to fill and see who goes in the portal. If Forbes can get some good ones from the portal, this could definitely be a real good team. All of that is easier said than done though.
