On holiday in SE Asia. I wear my unc baseball cap pretty much everyday. Amazing how many people give positive recognitions. Some alumni but a lot of locals. Vietnam, Thailand and beyond - Tar Heels brand is right up there with the NY Yankees.

Cool. Great place to visit. I got to go for a business trip with some family to work a Will Graham celebration in Tasmania a couple years ago.

I travel a bit too and I have heard "Go Tar Heels" or some version in multiple languages! I'm 6'3" so in some places they used think I was an actual ball player. It got to the point that my wife asked me to wear something non-Tar Heel in Mexico so I would stop getting stopped so much, lol! In other countries it is overwhelmingly positive but peeps here are very triggered too! No matter where I go, my gear gets strong reactions!

When I lived in Germany and on trips around Europe, I saw locals with UNC hats and shirts a lot. I have even seen our fan gear down under is Australia. In the eccentric 1994 comedy movie The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, there was a guy wearing an old UNC hat in an outback bar scene.

One Italian restaurant owner in Rome went nuts when he saw my UNC polo, he loved Jordan and UNC. He referred to me as "Mr. North-a-Carolina" when I returned.

Funny thing when I was in LA for a work trip last year I went up to the strip to get a Hollywood Harley-Davidson shirt. I was walking out of the parking garage and ran into another UNC alum when he noticed my UNC shirt, small world.
