Tar Heels set for 18 TV games

GREENSBORO, N.C. --- The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the broadcast coverage Thursday for its Olympic sports for the upcoming spring season, and North Carolina baseball will be featured 18 times across ESPNU, ESPN3 and RSN. In addition to Carolina's 18 appearances on the ACC package, another 26 home games will be streamed live on GoHeelsTV.

Carolina will be featured on ESPNU twice - home games against NC State on April 10 and Virginia on May 16. The ACC Regional Sports Network will carry the May 14 game against Virginia, while ESPN3 will broadcast the series at Georgia Tech (March 20-22), at home against Miami (March 27-29), the remaining games against NC State (April 11 and 12), the Sunday game at Virginia Tech (April 19), the Boston College series in Chapel Hill (April 24-26), the final two games at Notre Dame (May 9 and 10) and the middle game against Virginia (May 15).

In addition to the regular season, the entire 2015 ACC Championship will be shown on RSN May 19-23 before ESPN2 takes over for the title game at 1 p.m. on May 24.

A total of 239 ACC spring contests will appear on ESPN networks including one on ESPN, one on ESPN2, and 27 on ESPNU. An additional 32 games will appear on the league's regional sports networks, which include Fox Sports South, Fox Sports Carolinas, Fox Sports Florida, Sun Sports, Fox Sports Indiana, Fox Sports Midwest, Comcast Sports Net Mid-Atlantic, New England Sports Network (NESN), the YES Network, the Madison Square Garden Network (MSG) in New York and Root Sports in Pennsylvania.

All games carried on an ESPN network or a regional sport network will also be available on WatchESPN.

In addition to the 271 events announced as part of the conference package, other games may be carried by the regional cable partners of the ACC institutions, by school websites, and as part of other conference television packages. A complete listing of those games will be available at a later date.

This is awesome news. Between GoHeelsTV and the ESPN networks, we should be able to catch well over half of the Heels' games this season.
 
College baseball coverage has really improved the last few seasons. I know ESPN rubs a lot of people the wrong way with some of the things they do, but ESPNU/ESPN3 really have been great additions for college baseball fans.

The SEC Network will most likely have a lot of baseball coverage, too.

Agree completely. I got a lot happier with Time Warner once they started carrying ESPN3 a couple years ago. Now if they would only pick up the SEC Network....
