We'll lose today because the weather doesn't fit our strengths and we're horrible in the running game on both sides of the ball... but a win next week against top 10 Miami would get us back in the top 20 I think.

Regardless if the receivers are dropping passes everywhere, UNC must continue to try and pass the pigskin.
Sorry, but if you're counting on our defense to win anything, you're in for disappointment. Poorest tackling defense in D1.
You're assuming we beat Miami. I'm definitely not confident that ever happens either.
Well the good thing about this play calling is it protects us from any bigger schools from poaching Fed. They won't be that stupid.
3 timeouts and Fedora lets the clock run out. You have to make them punt in this weather. He sucks
I'm not. We'll certainly be dogs in that game, probably by at least 7. Just saying if we do beat them we'd probably be top 25 until the next time our play calling costs us a game.

On a dry field, I've no doubt that can happen. On a sloppy field, we're lost. How many catches does Switz have? Hollins? When you rely on your offense to win, you're at a distinct disadvantage in conditions like this. I was praying they'd cancel this game.
Good luck with that. Fed's got several strengths but game management and making adjustments isn't one of them.
Yeahhhh that's not very smart in this kind of weather. Difficult plays in bad weather wouldn't be the best decision. I mean I like that you want to spice it up but that's basically asking for a fumble.
Actually the kind of stuff I meant is pretty simple. I mean I guess with a reverse the ball changes hands a few times but hand offs shouldn't really be a problem. And that's just one play.
Unfortunately they are though. Pretty much everything in this kind of weather is a problem, the more times the ball switches hands the higher the chance of a fumble, especially when the people pitching it are doing something they aren't very practiced in. I mean we are down 10 right now, one fumble on our own side of the field trying to be cute could get us in a hole we most certainly wouldn't be able to get out of. Christ I wish Hood were playing. I really wish Fedora would just stop trying for the pass and do nothing but read option for the rest of the game. Leave the ball on the ground and pray we break a big one.
Let Fed show me something and make adjustments at halftime and win this game. Then, I'll be impressed. He's been outcoached and his team outplayed so far. Let's see what they're made of.
The read option has been why we haven't moved the ball at all in the first half. If Fed has a brain he'll air it out a little more in the second half.
Christ, well that touchdown pretty much seals it. Let's just get drunk instead.

As for the zone read in the rain, VT hasn't had any issues with it.
Keep running it Fed. It's bound to turn around sometime right!?!?!? Who cares if your team has shown you it's not effective? Prove everyone wrong, right?
Yes... but that team is better in the run game on both sides of the ball, thus the bad weather benefitting them.
