Tar Heels vs. Seminoles game thread

If we had made the PAT and they scored and tied on a PAT , we would have probably run out the last 23 seconds and gone to OT. Think about it.

I was in the middle of typing a question about whether or not Jimbo would go for two if they scored when the PAT got blocked...

Wow, the post game show crew on CBS just said they believe Fedora is the first call for LSU.

I'm not sure it even matters what UGA does if we were to win out. Ideally Miami would still be undefeated when we play them, which could be another top ten win. That in addition to an ACCCG win against Clemson/Louisville, who would probably be either #1 or #2 and I think we're a lock.

If Jimbo has definitely said No and Herman has indicated he prefers Texas, then that could be the case.

But LSU's boosters have spent the past year working to fire the best coach in school history. Any potential hire has to be aware of that and what it portends.

The CBS crew probably doesn't have a say in the LSU decision.

Would love to hear how jones angell called that last play. Any help from anyone
Go to Tar Heel Times.com and scroll to Video: Nick Weiler Kicks the 54-Yard FG to Beat No. 12 Florida State to hear Jones Angell make the call, and you're gonna love it.

You guys know good and well they will put us at 24 and have uga at 19 sec is what ESPN keeps up there. Even though I believe the ACC is the superior conference this yr

Over the years I've learned not to read or post on message boards until after game and let time be my friend before I say something I don't want made public(Lol)

The reversal on the safety call was not the turning point of the game or even that drive.. It was a good call and one I figured would be called that way when I saw it live.. The turning point of just that drive was the roughing the punter penalty that again was correct..

Now for the game I would agree it was end of 1st half-beginning of 2nd half.. If Hood doesn't fumble we should at least be up 24-7 at half and if we would of been able to come out and get any points at all to start the 2nd half I don't believe it ends up being close in the end...

Thankfully none of it ended up mattering but it was a heck of a game!!! Go HEELS and hopefully Hood not too injured

A team win in Tallahassee. 37-35. I realize it is hard to give credit because on this board it seems people would rather find fault with the defense or the coaches or the bone head plays by 19 year Olds but just like everyone who showed ZERO faith late against Pittsburgh last week your true colors and comments say alot about you yet again.

Thankfully the team refused to give up.
You get off on this shit don't you?

I was going back and forth between Ryder Cup and the heels WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a day of sports BOTH events were just unbelievable.....

Gotta admit I did not think he had the leg for the 54 yd FG, GLAD I was wrong.................. GO HEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we keep winning, it will all work out. VT has had an extra week to prepare for us, we can't take them lightly.
No, we cannot. We better not. Fuente knows that a big game wins changes a program. VY beating us now would be that huge win in his first year at VT to build his program on.

Lol. Different sport, but same shit. Maybe someday we'll all be as good a fan as you

All I know is we have been treated to back to back weeks of THRILLING football !!! All could think as our kicker is running the side lines was, Oh my, I did I just see that, did that just happen, it was like it was a dream.

Hope Hood is OK, I assume concussion protocols will mean he is out next week, come back strong big man!

Our QB is simply amazing, starting to wonder if we have him for a senior season.

Been out of town; can't wait to get back home so I can watch this game!
Great start, then our defense allowed FSU to get back in the game(aided by a huge safety reversal and a roughing the kicker penalty). The ending is story book stuff.

Hope Hood is okay, looked like he got his bell rung pretty good. And Weiler had plenty of leg on that 54 yarder, that has to be great for his confidence. That's a nice weapon to have in your arsenal.

Meh. I try not to judge people by what they poast in the heat of the moment. Definitely not our best work lol. And you have to admit, both games looked unwinnable. We very easily could be 0-2 in conference right now.

Emotions do run very high during games. And we would be 0-2 right now if we didn't have a ton of heart and one of the coolest customers at QB that I've ever seen wear the baby blue. That young man will play on Sundays one day. He has size, arm strength, accuracy, a very quick release, and most importantly, poise under pressure. Oh, and he goes through his progressions very quickly too. And while he's blessed with some very good backs and receivers, he's the rock that the team is built on. He always looks so serene, like he's playing a pickup game in the backyard. Can't tell you how impressed I am with this guy.

How about these numbers?

133-175, 1711 yards, 76% completion rate, 9.78 YPA, 13 TD's, 0 INT's, QB rating of 182.6.
