Was anyone else confused by that - I thought they called a technical for hanging on the rim. The refs blew the whistle, Tatum was acting pissed off, then ESPN cut to a quick commercial. Does anyone know what the call was there .. or what happened?

The rules doesn't apply to Dook!

You have to first consider the name on the front of the jersey before asking such amature questions about rules and why stuff wasn't called!

Come on Bleed you know better!

He came down the whole lane with lots of momentum...sometimes slightly hanging is necessary....what about the foul?..he got hit in the head while dunking

STFU. your douches get every damn benefit of every time someone breathes on them already. The rat and his bullshit tactics* are beyond ridiculous. So get the hell off our board with your dumbass shit take.

* flopping, head whips, leg kicks, arm bars, hand checks, flagrant elbows, tripping, chest-stomping, titty-twisting and nose-breaking just to name a few. What other team gets away with this shit? .... crickets.

I wasnt saying that a tech was or was not called .. I seriously didnt know and the way Tatum reacted, I think he thought the timeout whistle was a call on him for hanging. Just checking.

Someone suspend this clown from the message board indefinitely, Oh wait he would expect to be back tomorrow!

I don't recall the play in question off the top of my head, but that's something they don't really call anymore in college basketball They could probably call it on half of the dunks in college.

His reaction was asking the officials about the foul that wasnt called, he wasnt concerned about a tech for hanging on the rim. The replay showed Meeks forearm hit Tatum in the head.

I seriously did not have a problem with Tatum hanging on the rim....it is so subjective there days thanks to the NC2A and their idiotic rules etc.....to be honest I don't have a problem with anything to do with door other then rat face and his constant moaning and groaning to the officials and GA...his theatrics and the bull shit that he gets away with piss me off to no end! The kid should not be playing with all the crap he has done and gotten away with this year! The constant flopping, wailing of arms etc makes a joke of the game, the officials calling the game, Cusser and the dook coaching staff and the NCAA.....that kid has issues!

Ahh, boohoo... your head-whipping floppers only got about fifteen other BS calls in their favor so GFY and the rat you rode in on.

Right, as if dook needed more free throws. Tatum is an incredible talent and will fit in nicely at the next level ... skill set AND attitude.

BleedUNCBlue questioned what Tatum's reaction was about. I simply said he was questioning what he thought was a foul.

Sure, fine. Look man, you might be a reasonable dook fan; don't know, don't care. But I just don't get why you guys are coming over here to poast last night and today. Enjoy your win, and stay on your own board for a few days.

Word of advice for all Dukies, Tar Heels, and message board fans: visiting and commenting on a rival’s board shortly after they lose may be perceived as gloating and delighting in their misery, the very definition of schadenfreude. Anything you say, no matter how trivial or innocuous, will be disagreed so it’s best to allow some time to pass before commenting again.

Yeah cause believe me those sensitive pricks will run you off of DI in a second the day after your team beats their precious team if you comment on ANYTHING they don't agree with on their board or if it is perceived as a slight towards their coach or team.

I have been around here a long time and have had great convo....I said nothing remotely gloating...picking...etc

It was stated clearly in a previous post: "it may be perceived as gloating and delighting in their misery, the very definition of schadenfreude." What you said, or thought you said, isn't the point. You're here, on a Tar Heel board, as a rival poster, defending something that team did against ours after a devastating loss. Bad timing... go home for a while.

What strum said. Nobody gives a rat how long you've been around. The fact that you have been a decent poaster over here and have great convo should be all the more reason that you show a little respect for at least 48 hours after that game.

It probably is a tech by rule but only if it is enforced... it just a sign of the times in sport today. Sportsmanship is devalued in favor of "enthusiasm and passion"- substitute those words in place of the "look at me" over the top celebrations that take place after even the most mundane plays. Heck the guys act like the rim is a stripper pole in the NBA on dunks these days...
Man, I sound old I guess?
