I don't think any player got more out of his ability during his UNC career in my lifetime (either RJ or Tyler Hansbrough). A terrific, productive career. Thanks for giving everything you had. Players like you may never come around this program ever again. Salute and best of luck to your basketball future.

Great list. That IS the list IMO in the approximate 35-40 years I’ve been a fan.

Maybe on the B list would be Danny Green. I’m thinking of guys who stayed a long time and got the most out of their physical abilities

For five tumultuous seasons, RJ Davis demonstrated the best qualities of a Carolina
athlete. He played with intense effort and fight every minute he was on the floor,
never slacking in his intensity, always giving everything he had.
I wish l had a dollar bill for every time he picked himself off the floor after getting
whacked on a drive to the hole. Even when the stripes ignored obvious
fouls by defenders, he didn’t gripe or pout; he just played harder.
Thanks, RJ. I’ll be happy to see your jersey in the rafters the next time I’m
in the Dean E Smith Center. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾❤️⛹🏾‍♂️
