It's a good place to be isn't it? Carolina is the only team in the league to control its destiny. They own tiebreakers over anybody else that can win the conference that isn't named Duke. It's simple gentlemen, if the Heels win two of their last three, they are ACC Champions out right!

Y^eah, I mean, there was just so much riding on that game last night. Best 2 teams in the ACC played each other. Had we lost we would have been tied but Lville would have had the tie breaker, we win and get a 2 game lead, duke loss was a nice cherry on top!

#7 ranked team played the #8 ranked team for a potential #1 seeding in the ACCT and the NCAAT. Big time win gives us a leg up there, still work to do but it is nice to have gained some breathing room being atop the best conference in the country while beating a legit top 10 team.

Yeah, as soon as Dook lost last night, last night's game became somewhat of a regular season championship game. Was happy to see our boys were up to the challenge.

We still have Pitt and UVA on the road and dook at home so there's still work to be done. We'll probably need to win 2 of 3 to clinch the regular season.

Yeah, and I think we are still sputtering in a few places, I am not sure we played more than our B game vs either UVa or Lville because I think we are a team capable of much more on the offensive end than we showed in either of those games. Point i am making is we are not peaking IMO, we have improved some phases that needed improvement but there is a higher level this team can get to that feels to me like we are gaining ground on.

But our defense has been pretty darn impressive the last couple games primarily IMO because we are not leaving as many wide open looks for spot up jump shooters from behind the arch. That is a real key for us, when we don't allow opposing guards to get white hot from beyond the arch we are a really tough team to take out. Because we just have so many weapons we can hit you with on the offensive end and we rebound the ball on both ends and as of late our TOs are coming down.

I do think there's still room for getting better. If we can put our defense together with a little better efficiency on offense, we'll be cookin' with gas.

If UNC plays defense like they have the past couple of games, they will handle Pitt by double digits. If they play defense like they did the first time they played Pitt, that game will be a whole lot of trouble.

This Saturdays game with Pitt just became the most dangerous game of the year.

Those "Saturday morning" games, especially on the road, always worry me, regardless of the opponent. I hope and pray we don't come out sleepy, lethargic, flat footed. I assume Pitt will be more amped up than any game this season. Really need to contain, limit their perimeter guy(s).

I think if we beat Duke we can actually lose both of the others and still finish in first. Not that we'd necessarily want to lose both of the others. I have to say i'd probably rather lose both of them than lose to Duke though!

You're correct. Of the 4 teams 2 games back, Carolina holds the tie breaker on everyone but Duke right now.

UNC needs to win 2 out of 3 to win the ACC Championship without any help. UNC needs 1 out of 3 wins coupled with a Duke loss to any of its final 3 opponents to win the ACC Championship.

Just take care of Pitt and dook at home. UVa may be truly desperate for the game at their place so best if it doesn't matter.
