I am absolutely cracking up scrolling down the threads and seeing all or most of the posts have Luke Maye avatars.
I listened to Jones and Eric for the entirety of yesterday's game, even though my broadcast via HD antenna is a couple seconds faster.
"The shot" was weird because I saw it go in, but was in stunned disbelief for a couple seconds before the radio broadcast caught up. It was basically Jones and Eric yelling over top of each other and it was glorious.
Not to make you do more work, but if another one happens to get made, I'd make it my avatar. I'm not too skilled with the photoshops

Fair enough. I'll keep my views to myself. Already heard on the radio (in Atlanta, randomly) guys saying it was a meh call.
So Atlanta radio thinks they have some good winning calls? Must have one saved up from the Super Bowl they've been dying to use.
It wasn't a classic by any definition. Eric actually blurted out, "Got it!" before Jones even had a chance to say anything. They're professionals but they're also alumni so I have no problem with them getting carried away in the moment. Can't believe anybody would pick such an irrelevant thing to complain about, but you do you.
He's only happy when it rains.

2. I thought the call was fine. Was it the best ever? Nope. I did expect it to be better, given the circumstances, but who am I to judge? There's NO WAY I could call that game as an alum because I'd be screaming out "Luke ****ing Maye motherf****ers!!!" lol.

I didn't think it was too over the top. And overall it was ok; not great but pretty ok.
Jones & Eric are pretty good but We all know that Woody would've killed it.
Doh! I was just about to say the dude from Green Day but couldn't recall his name; and I had to listen to the radio call from Jones and Eric first.
Exactly my take on it, "not great but pretty ok." The Atlanta guys I referenced earlier echoed your sentiments: "It was fine, but Woody would've done it way better."
On this particular Atlanta show, when they talk college sports it's basically SEC Football gets all attention, ACC Football gets none because of UGA, and then ACC Basketball gets all CBB attention (which isn't a lot because it doesn't move the meter in Atlanta) while SEC Basketball gets none, because GT used to be relevant in the prestigious ACC. So the guys have a pretty good working knowledge of late 80s and 90s ACC Basketball.
