Well guys, the commercials have started and while I do not like either of the two main candidates, I have to say Hillary has come out kicking butt with her commercials so far. Trump has given her too much to work with compared to what he will use against her. This should be entertaining at least.

Trump and Hillary could produce the exact same commercial, word for word, and put it on TV, and you would say that Hillary is "kicking butt" and Trump is struggling.

I have no doubt he will have a ton of them to come right back with. She has lied about everything and tried playing off as "dumb" in the email thing, the Benghazi issue he will cream her with but when I saw this one she put out about him, I was wondering what anyone who did support him saw when they watched this... taking her completely out of the equation, what does a Trump reporter see ABOUT HIM when they see this? Just curious about it. I don't support either one. I'm just trying to see from another perspective, that's all. Not trying to start WWIII over it.

I wonder what kind of parents let their kids of that age watch TV alone when the possibility of political commercials exist.

Hillary missed the mark with one of the commercials I saw. It highlighted her term as secretary of state. Really? All of the controversy that happened during that time and you decide to make that a focal point? Stupid.

I saw this one and was appalled. Then I saw it was a Clinton ad and sorta wondered if it was legit. But, if it is, it's not a good sign.

Really. You'd figure she'd try to distance herself from that. But that's what you call balls. She's got them.

Oh, man... what kinda lefty hootenanny is THIS? (NSFW because... you know... naked women are an abomination)

Damn! They are pissed if they are doing that! This week has a feeling of something even worse coming than the last month's worth of crazy!

I still would like to hear what anyone who plans to vote for either one of them to tell me what they think of the commercials though. Like what appeals to you about Trump in those and vice versa? I don't want to hear how bad the person who made the commercials are, I already know how bad they both are... I want to know what you think of what is presented.

I don't know if this is true either, but it should be easy enough to find out, but I have heard from several sources in the past that he is not the best person to do business with because it's all about him and how he comes out on top. Typical narcissistic personality disorder, they care the most about themselves.

I did tell you what I thought.

Given the sheer number of contracts and deals done by Trump, Im sure you could find several sources to say that Trump is not a good business partner. That would mean that 99% still think he is a good partner.

Heres a question for the architect- why did you continue to work on a project that was unpaid? Architects typically bill as work is completed, not wait 18 months to present one bill. And if Trump screwed the architect so badly, why is the architect still using Trump as a highlight and reference on his website?

Why not ask the Haitians what they think of the Clinton Global Initiative?

You don't think Trump will ask about the Clinton Global initiative? It will the most mudslinging we've ever seen I am sure.

Oh. I thought you asked a question about what kind of parents allow children to watch that.

I guess I'm wanting to know how people who support Trump support what we see there and how those who support Hillary support all of her shenanigans.

You asked what I thought when I saw the ad. I answered you.

I dont pay any attention to political advertisements one way or the other for the most part If you are asking about what do I think about Trump being rude, my response is that he seems to do that when counterpunching, not out of the gate.

Like EVERY supporter of ANY political candidate, I overlook and justify the short comings of the one I support while exaggerating the short comings of the ones I dont support. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, does this. Surely you understand this, right? If so, what is the point of this thread?

How could you not want someone with that type of personality representing you at negotiation tables with foreign leaders?

"Nah, screw the guy who comes out on top in deals... I want the one that will give me a below average outcome"

Well, that has certainly been the case for the last 8 years, so it may stand to reason that voters prefer a crappy negotiator.

You understand that leaders of other countries have customs quite different from ours. Some get offended if guests take the first bite of food or shake hands a certain way and things that are normal to us are quite offensive to others. Can you imagine him saying something sarcastic to one of them???

Speaking to people with rudeness or sarcasm usually gets poor results here in America so I am not sure it will be of any help elsewhere.

No, I couldn't imagine him saying something sarcastic to another head of state, because he would understand the situation. I also can't imagine him bowing to another head of state.

And given the choice between sarcasm or bowing, I will take the sarcasm every time.

I don't think she is particularly dumb or smart. She is singularly determined to be president for her own selfish reasons. There is not one person who thinks about Hillary more than Hillary.

Yes that is true. I've wondered if she would even be interested in being president if there had already been a woman president. She just comes off like she's much more interested in becoming the first woman president than she is in just becoming the president - if that makes any sense.

I do understand that. I would assume in his vast business career he's had interactions with people with different customs, and if he's been successful in those, why would you assume different now?

And I really couldn't care less who he offends along the way if he continues to come out on top, as you said. Actually, I'd prefer him to ruffle some feathers along the way if it meant we still came out on top, but I can understand how that might not be everyone's opinion.

or apologizing to everybody.

A real man of character WOULD apologize though not try and blame everyone else because he is too prideful to admit fault. I want someone in there who will be honest and admit defeat if it applies. The truth is the truth no matter how you try to change the story or sugar coat things. I cannot see Trump admitting to mistakes or bad choices and he certainly will not tolerate anyone disagreeing with him. That's what worries me. I have no doubt in his ability to get deals done and bring more jobs here but anything that will require humility or an element of empathy, he cannot do it.

depends on that for which he is apologizing. If he is apologizing for a mistake he made or a transgression he committed, then yes. Otherwise he is pandering.

Can you name for me one president who admitted he was wrong and tolerated public dissent?

I can't say most of the males on this board can admit they are wrong much less a president. lol

I think Jimmy Carter was a humble president. I think Carter was actually much too virtuous for the office of President of the United States. I dunno if he ever admitted he was wrong or not. Admitting you're wrong takes a helluva lot of courage.

Ok- halfway there. Can you give me an example of Hillary admitting she was wrong about anything?

And for the record, your misandry is just as bad, if not worse, than any female bashing on this board.
damn well said.
