Lots of talk all season about Johnson, Tokoto and Paige maybe thinking about taking their game to a higher level but I have not seen about talking about Justin Jackson. Was there any UNC player who performed better than Jackson when tournament time came around.

No I think because of his slim frame he won't be leaving yet but offensively he has the total package that NBA scouts love. A outside game and quick first step and baseline floater and he can get out on the break.

Again I ask the question did any player show mire in March than Jackson?

Dunk, you're 100% right, Justin showed the most Pro-tential of any Heel in the tournament......and that's why any talk about any UNC player going pro is quite crazy.

Justin needs another year, JP, Brice and Marcus only have another year and Joel James needs another 7.

Kennedy and Isaiah are the ones to watch for next year though, I reckon both could have huge numbers and if they do Roy might find himself needing to fill 6-7 roster spots with his class of '16.

Justin will be here next year ... but that could be it.

Unless Justin can pack on about 30lbs. of muscle over the summer, he's got to come back. At 6'8" 193lbs, he would be injured in preseason in the league! Our blessing!

you guys worry too much...nobody is leaving that shouldn't leave.

Nor should any of them even dream about it. For PJ to even dream about it is total folly. Even with another year, Marcus will struggle to make the NBA then. Has a hard time creating his own shot, and has a hard time keeping even college players from driving the ball on him. The one with the most NBA potential that could consider going now is Brice. But a nice shot to 15 feet only carries one so far. He would get pushed out of the arena on defense and on the boards right now. Still needs to add some serious weight. I don't see any of them going. Would be a huge mistake if they tried.

Meaning Jackson will probably go pro after next year.. we will have him one more year

i haven't watched the nba in quite a while but if any of our players are considering the jump the nba must really suck now.

Ohhh, okay. Duh...

I personally dont think any of our guys are ready. They all have areas in their game that need refined before tackling the league. Paige I think is the most ready because he has the NBA stroke and a nice floater in the lane. He does however need to get healthy and prove he is durable enough for a long season. Brice has pretty polished offensive moves and athleticism and his free throw form for a big man is pretty awesome. But he has a long way to go on the defensive end, mostly learning how to not foul out every game. Also he could use a little more weight to bang with the bigs in the NBA. Justin Jackson has the floater and later in the season found some range. He definintly could get quicker or he will get ate alive on defense trying to guard NBA wings. Meeks could become a great passing big man. He already can throw an outlet and start a fast break as good as anyone. But passing alone wont get you there. He dont rise enough to shoot over athletic NBA defenders. He could really use a mid range jump shot. Tokoto could be a really good NBA defender but on offense would be a liability in the league. Has has little to no jump shot. He can pass but sometimes gets way too careless and becomes a turnover waiting to happen. Hicks has the build, athleticism, and motor for a NBA power forward. Really needs to just develop a move or 2 and get some more minutes and I think he'll be fine. Joel Berry showed he can hit an outside shot later in the year and has plenty of speed. He's another one who just needs more time and I think he has the tools he needs. Pinson needs a consistent jumper. He puts 110% effort in the whole time he's on the court. I think with time this dude's gonna be a favorite. Joel James needs feet that move. And he waits on the ref to make a call instead of just playing through more than anyone ive ever seen. Nate has an outside shot thats improving but still needs more repitition. He's a tough guard and could be a very pesky defender if he wanted to be. Now to my point and I'll shut up.....I really hope they all come back because my hopes would be very high for next year. This could be anoher net cutting year.

You've just answered this thread. If Brice has the most NBA potential then Roy has a full locker room next year.

IMHO Brice would struggle to stick it here in the Australian league.

The thing with Brice is he doesn't have the bulk to stick at the 4 nor the speed to stick at 3. He definitely needs more time. Right now he's a poor man's John Henson and John is still?struggling to get consistent minutes in Milwaukee.

I think Brice is absolutely a NBA player and has followed Henson's development arc well.

If he comes out next year with a solid jumper, he is Henson down to a T. (minus the blocks)

At least in terms of NBA execs sucking at spending money wisely - you would be correct.

Not even Paige is primed for the NBA now.

These threads always lose me when they talk about "being ready". The league doesn't draft on what you are as much as what you could be. The longer some guys stay without massive improvement, the lower the go based on ceiling, like JMM. Brice has added about 40 lbs since arriving I believe, so what is it reasonable to expect him to gain next year? If he comes back five pounds heavier and no better on defense, he probably hurts his stock. Meeks blocked more shots so hard to say he's improved much on defense, aside from fouling less on a per minute basis. A player who isn't ready, especially one who is incomplete, has to weigh whether this is their best opportunity. Their game can improve more rapidly by leaving, and a questionable long-term pro has to pay even more attention to what his draft position could mean financially.

roy would be giving bad advice and he'd be listening to the wrong execs if any of these players are considering leaving.

Justin is highest rated on the draft board and everyone has been saying he has the most pro potential, how have you not heard this?

He'd be the only guy where it wouldn't be a total mistake to leave. His stock is high after the tournament.

That said, I think he gives us another year.

Tough choices for a few guys. Seem to be a few who are borderline 1st rounders from what has been posted on here. Think I would wait if I though I could move up to a guaranteed 1st round pick. Seems like they have a coach who does pretty well in assisting in development of talent if they do their part and work hard and on specific areas, they should see better options next year.
Don't like how we cut down our players on these types of threads though. Every player has issues and I don't mind discussing them as long as it stays respectful.

What draft board you looking at? Highest I see is Meeks at Early 2nd round.
