The Pope vs. Trump

I have no interest in debating with you. I'm hoping to annoy you to the point that you stop posting or at the least, stop directing posts towards me.

I wish you were the only one that had to read it.
You can easily put me on ignore and solve the problem you're having. You never annoy me. I look forward to your posts.

If my opinion didn't matter to you, you would never have addressed it to notashelbyfan. You'd have ignored it, but you can't resist me. That's why I love you! Using memes to debate is pretty weak, though.

I don't care if you "value" it or not. I'm the only one that needs to value my opinion.

Why does it bother you that some are not flexible in there faith?

I'm not bothered by it. I'm used to it. I see it all the time. It doesn't affect me, personally, at all. It just seems limiting. If being inflexible is comfortable for you, go for it. Dick seems upset that I use your words to describe what you say you are.

I'm don't let you upset me anymore. I used to. But then I thought, "don't let that douchebag upset you. He's just a blowhard that spews shit he doesn't even believe." And since then, I no longer get upset with you.

As far as putting you on ignore, I was going to but then God spoke to me and told me that my calling was to ridicule your nonsensical posts. I'm just doing God's work. I'm humbled he chose me.

I absolutely believe what I say. I don't "spew" anything.

Most religions believe that.
Awesome.

I think most religions, inadvertently, depict or portray God as some Super Human parental figure that floats in the clouds. The ancient religions especially. The artwork through the ages depicts as much, and people even today seem to basically, maybe unknowingly, keep that image subconsciously. There's nothing really "wrong" with that, necessarily. But, this basic idea of God:

is just a wee-bit too "human being" for me, that's all.

I consider God as just that God not pie in the sky or some decrepit old man with a cane and a long white beard!

When I refer to God it is what stepped out on nothing and created everything in 6 days a rested on the 7th!

I also trust and am 100% trust in the faith that Jesus is the son of God and the ONLY WAY to the father and to heaven!

In my eyes there is nothing to be open minded about. How can I say in one breath that Jesus is the only way to the father and then turn around and say that there maybe other ways to God? You can't have it both ways.

I know I can't change your mind and your not going to change mine but the debate is fun!

You can have it ALL ways. Or, you can have it just one way. It's up to you.

I find wisdom and paths in all of the different beliefs. To me, they are all conduits. Mainly because I believe they are all connected and practically identical, but just have different names of the characters. It's really easy for me. I don't find one as being right and the others wrong. I don't understand Russian, but I know Russians understand it and we're saying the same things, only our verbal utterances sound different.

Abraham Lincoln was meeting with his generals and ask how many legs does a cow have? They replied four. Then he said if we call his tail a leg how many legs does he have now? They replied five. Lincoln then corrected them saying just because we call his tail a leg doesn't make it so.

I agree with you to a certain degree about man has severely distorted Christianity But I do think there is something to this path created by grace that is only offered through Christianity. I choose to think of it as wow what a great God that provides a way instead of this is the only way.

It's all a great gift. All people are saved and all people are just souls that God experiences itself through. I even see blessings in what some people call "bad" things. If there was no bad, we would have no understanding or appreciation of GOOD.

I don't think the Lincoln story is a parallel, but if you do, that's fine. Identifying parts of a cow doesn't require much faith or abstract understanding. I'm not talking about lying to yourself, or others. I have no doubt that a Buddhist monk has as much faith as a Catholic archbishop. They both are reverent to God in their own way. I don't believe God judges or holds any of us in a higher or lower state. I believe God observes and allows us to create and experience ourselves. There's no punishment, no reward. It's really awesome. I realize this is in opposition to ancient religious doctrine, but, I'm not bound to ancient religious doctrine anymore than God is bound to it.

As soon as I read this I immediately thought of the scene in "Vampire in Brooklyn" where Eddie Murphy is disguised as the preacher.
