Theo on track...

Late, late January . . and with Roy always being cautious with injuries, we may not see Theo in a game until February.

I dunno Billy... yeah Roy is cautious, but his 8 weeks from surgery will fall before Xmas, and with 12 considered the very high-end of "safest" time-frame, there could be a good chance we see him pretty early in the ACC schedule.

awesome news! TP deserves some good news.

I hope he gets to play the rest of the season

I like to try to find something positive out of a bad situation and as bad as not having Theo is, this does give some of his mates the chance to show what they can do. Look at Luke so far, Kenny showed some early, even BRob gets a chance to show some. That just helps us down the road by giving some guys some PT they would not have got had Theo been available. Gives Roy a lot more options when Theo does get back.

Ease him back in mid-late January, full speed by mid-late February in time for our FF run.

All of these early minutes for Kenny, Nate, Luke will help us down the road.

I'm not a fan of players rushing back from broken feet or knee injuries. It's hard for me to see what kind of impact he would have. The way Theo plays puts a lot of pressure on his feet, more than any other player I have seen in a long time. Have you noticed his jump stops in the lane? He may be looking a another injury. Hope he redshirts.

Steat, you my bud but lemme tell ya something about Theo, Roy could have him on the side lines in a suit come feb, hook a ball & chain to his ankles and Theo would chew thru the chain and enter the game in his suit & tie. There is no way Theo will even consider a red shirt unless he reinjures that foot again.

I also don't think he wants to still be in college at 23..

Question....

When they say 8-12 weeks is that when he'll be ready to play in real games, ready for hard practice, ready to put weight on the foot...?

If it means ready to play real minutes against ACC competition, then this might not be so bad. But if it's just the beginning of the boot-free rehab process, that's not so good.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't his recovery from the previous surgery take a pretty long time?

Late January or Early February is good. The Heels will be clicking on all cylinders by then..
As long as he is 100% or very close to it. He needs to be better than last year, not less than or the same as last year - both for our current success and for his own future success.

Would love to see it . . even mid-January would be sweet. My expectations are the 3rd/4th week of that first month of '17.
