4-Star 2018 LB Dax Hollifield from Shelby, NC, was at UNC for this past weekend's 34-3 loss to Virginia Tech in the mess of Hurricane Matthew. But Hollified was not deterred by the Tar Heels' performance.
He said everything went "great except UNC got drilled." He said he talked a lot with Coach John Papuchis. He is friends with a lot of the kids in the 2018 class: KJ Henry, Tre Turner, Alan Tisdale, Ricky Person, and Rick Sandidge.
Hollifield has narrowed his list to UNC, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest, though the Wake attachment admittedly is because Hollifield's father played there. By the way, he roomed with current UNC WR coach Gunter Brewer there. If pressed, THI believes Hollifield is a UNC lean.
