The Belmont (Nashville, TN) men's baseball team lost its first two games at UT-Martin last weekend. Then they went absolutely bonkers in the final game of the series.
After going scoreless in 14 of the 19 innings played in the first two games, they exploded for a 34(!)-10 win on 31(!!) hits including 12(!!!) home runs. Twelve!
They broke several conference and NCAA records during the game, including sending 26 batters to the plate in the 6th inning. You can read more about the records in the university's press release.
My sister-in-law happens to work for Belmont as an events photographer. That has nothing to do with anything but I thought I'd mention it anyway lol.
