This makes NC look like Alabama & Mississippi in 1963.

We went years and years with one day to vote and now libtards will have us believe that minorities need even more than the early voting days SMMFH at Strum's foolishness.

If you don't feel compelled to "make up for them", at least in some way, then you'll probably end up emulating them. Life is about balance, for me. What happened then can happen right now. We all have the same basic things as those people. So, I feel obligated to make sure I keep it where it feels balanced.

This is such a contradictory statement, you're all about balance, but want to make it unbalanced in one direction to make sure you don't go unbalanced in the other.

Those days were neither right nor wrong, they were just those days.

I feel like this is where we'll have to just agree to disagree then. I'm of the belief all people should get the same opportunities regardless of gender, race, etc. Anything else is wrong. Whether that be affording opportunities for straight people but not gay people (marriage), or affording opportunities for minorities at the expense of Whites (affirmative action). Since you feel differently, I don't think either of us will ever convince the other.

Ummm, no.... if I feel it is "out of balance" then I have to put it "in balance" as I feel or see it working. Uh oh, feelings and logic working together! Enjoy the day. I gotta go TCB.

I think the problem arises from people who think that people like that DON'T deserve the same and want to make sure they aren't given equal treatment.

Sadly, there are a lot of people who think that unless you do everything exactly as they do and believe exactly as they do that you don't deserve equality in anything. Fortunately, those people are slowly dying off.

You are the queen of stereotyping and generalizations.

Pot/Kettle? I said earlier in the thread, National Election Holiday and absentee ballots. How is that not fair to everyone?

No one said anything about minorities not voting. Reread what I said.
I wasn't talking about you or your post. As Strum pointed out, I was just making a blanket generalization.

It's Election Day, for crying out loud. No holds barred, right?

Other future recruits, and students in geenral, are seeing this and thinking "Why would I wanna go to a school where they do that in the same state?"

Yeah, because AAU high school basketball players really have their finger on the political pulses of individual states.

Even if they knew about this, they wouldn't care until someone told them to.

No hell it's not. No, I don't want a man in the restroom or locker room with my wife, 3 daughters or 4 granddaughters whether he is gay, straight or trans. Old fashioned, maybe I am and that's the way I will die. But mark it down, sooner or later a male will want to play women's sports and what is the answer? You can analyze and make up sh?t all you want. Have a separate bathroom for those that identify that way just don't expose MY GIRLS to it.

There was an Olympic athlete that was born a man and competed as a woman. Seems fair.

Do you even have any kids?

Strum? Gosh no.

He damn sure didn't answer. He and the rest can say what they want but my wife, daughters and granddaughters are special to me and I don't want them exposed to that and they don't want to be exposed to that.

You can be like all "conservatives" and long for the old days that are long gone.

Or I can strive to keep the days of yore where I choose to live by voting for those that support my beliefs. I don't give a f*ck about you living wherever the hell you live. You be you. I'll be me. Isn't that what you're supposedly for? Like Heelbent said, worry about your own shit and stay out of the issues in NC (and other states) that don't effect you.

FYI he is at the Luthiers right now and I'm sure will reply when he gets back. He is not avoiding you guys. He's just busy today.

Guitar gig at the local dive bar? Play Freebird. It's always a hit.
smdh if you only knew. He is a very successful and honest person. He doesn't play gigs in bars nor does he go to them. You guys really have the wrong idea about him. He is pretty serious on here for the most part but is also a fun guy to gang out with. One thing I can say is he doesn't get offended by anything and is VERY considerate, even to you guys.

Yes that's what he's for. Unless that's what you're for... then he's against it.

Priceless. That captures strum to a T. He's the constant contrarian. But I give him props for being contrarian to everyone. That's hard to do.

Outside of his alter ego, chick, who could stand to be around that guy?

I give him props for responding but he sucks at giving answers, he's like a politician in a debate. Dude lives in an alternate universe.
