It was a dumb thing for Obama to bring it up, too. It was unnecessary and Obama was trying to take a jab at McCain. So... because Obama did stupid shit, Trump should too? and, let's not hold Trump accountable for his dumb shit because "Hey! Obama did it, too!" That's brilliant logic.
Sour grapes on their part. They simply can't believe the American people were tired of the direction in which the country was headed.
The dumb shit I care about are the actions that affect the rest of us -- like forcing us into this socialist Obamacare hellhole. If Obama actually accomplished anything that has a positive affect on our country, I'd love the guy...really and truly. I couldn't care less what any of them say, to be perfectly honest with you. I never have, and I've maintained that stance from the beginning. I only posted that video to point out the irony in criticizing one side when the other was famous for it as well. How many years did we have to be constantly reminded by Obama that he inherited a disaster of a country from Bush? He blamed GWB for EVERYTHING.
But again -- I do not care how well someone speaks to a crowd...I care about what they are able to accomplish. Plain...and...simple. Hope that clears it up.

How about when he also used scare tactics and more lies to sell the ACA? Here he implied doctors would take out your tonsils unnecessarily when all you had was a sore throat because they would make more money.
More scare tactics. Here he implied that doctors would rather amputate your leg than treat diabetes in a proactive manner because they make more money that way.
He sold the American people a complete bill of goods, intentionally and with no remorse lying to our faces. Yet he was never called out on these lies by the media, was he? Yet now the media is parsing every word out of Trump's mouth for accuracy. The hypocrisy of the media and Dems knows no bounds.

I think Obama has been ABUNDANTLY criticized for the vagaries of the ACA. And, he should have been, and deserved being criticized for it.
Absolutely. But the fact is that the mainstream media allowed Obama to get away with lying over and over and over again, without ever calling him out on it. Fox was the only outlet to even mention Obama's penchant for lying.
As I stated above, 95% of the media gave him a complete pass. And only you would call intentionally lying to the American people on a consistent basis "the vagaries of the ACA". Good grief!
By vagaries, I mean that the bill was never made clear before it was voted on. Obama telling people they can keep their plans and doctors was always a flat-out lie.

I don't know what he was "allowed" to do. I didn't follow Obama's every move. I have seen multiple videos where he reiterates the parts about "you get to keep your plan" etc.. I dunno if he was "allowed" to repeat that anymore than Trump is "allowed" to repeat his lies about the EC or anything else. They control what comes out of their mouths. It's up to us as to whether or not we believe they're lying.
prlyles is a conservative republican and he corrected ME on my decision to say that I didn't believe Trump was intentionally lying when he made the comment about his EC advantage was the most since Reagan. Apparemtly, he's been "allowed" to say that over and over.
Fox at least makes an effort to be impartial. They definitely lean to the right but they will criticize Republicans in a minute. The others make no effort whatsoever to tell both sides of the story.
I'll try one more time to make my point. I want the media to do their job honestly, to tell the news exactly as it happens with no spin on it one way or the other. But the media has become politicized and doesn't do that anymore. Obama was allowed to lie repeatedly, with no negative press resulting from it. And these were some of the biggest lies ever sold to the American people. Again, with very little to no kickback from the press, Fox being the exception. Yet they're making this huge deal about Trump lying about the size of his inauguration crowd, a lie that while a lie nonetheless, pales in comparison with the magnitude of Obama's lies. IOW, Obama got special treatment by the press, just as Hillary Clinton did when she repeatedly lied to the people.
All I ask is for the press to be fair and unbiased. Tell the news as it happens, without embellishment or bias. Expose lies and corruption wherever or whenever it occurs, regardless of party affiliation. A free press is vital to Democracy but with that freedom comes a great responsibility. The press can lift or bring down a politician's career, it can determine the outcome of elections. Fair, unbiased reporting is all I want.
One more thing, I'm neither a Republican nor a Democrat. I'm an Independent who tends to be conservative. I couldn't bring myself to vote for Trump or Clinton because I felt both were very seriously flawed candidates and that there were much better candidates available. But when Obama was elected twice, I hoped and prayed that he would do a good job for the people. I'm now giving Trump the same consideration.

Just one example in many that demonstrates the liberal agenda espoused by the media today. It is also a known fact that Hillary told her daughter immediately after the attack that it was not a demonstration that escalated, but a planned terrorist attack. Yet she, Susan Rice, and the President continued to lie about it and mislead the American people in an effort to ensure his reelection. Again, with almost complete impunity from the press after these lies came to light, Fox being the lone exception. That incident alone, and the ensuing firestorm of criticism that would have erupted from the media, would have cost a Republican President the reelection.
MSM was complicit in the IC's high-tech political assassination of the POTUS's NSA. If the MSM can collude with the IC to do this to Flynn, they can do it to all of us. That is why Trump is saying that the MSM is the enemy of the people.

No, they should be discredited for what they have done and are doing. They are to blame for the fact that the vast majority of the people do not trust them. They did it to themselves, and continue to do it. They can't help themselves.
The only way to restore the media to any semblance of impartiality is to hold them accountable. IOW, if they knowingly print stuff that is false or fail to properly check the credibility of their source, sue their arse for libel. Do away with this "unidentified sources say" BS. If you print something, then you'd better be ready to have your story verified. Reporters that refuse to identify their sources should be put in jail. That is the only way to put 95% of this fake news epidemic to rest.
I am speaking to anyone who has a problem with Trump, or anyone for that matter, calling out the anyone in charge of a platform to sway public opinion. That goes for both sides of the political spectrum.

Wasn't singling anyone out in particular. I know FoxNews is guilty at times as well. As long as they are all honest and truthful, im fine with anyone being criticized. But the recent stuff coming out regarding the left wing outlets does single them out...one of those being that fifteen outlets had regular staffers who financially backed Hillary, while no one from Fox was shown to have done the same...that does implicate them and severely damages their credibility.
This is why I don't have any issue with Trump going to Twitter. How can he trust the very outlets that openly wanted him to lose and went to every length possible to completely trash him and his family. I don't blame him one iota. In fact, I think he's been easy on them.

And Dan Rather's comments about Trump attacking the press for reportin false news are laughable. One needs only Google "Memogate" or "Raththergate" to see how hypocritical he is. He was guilty of touting false news, exactly what Trump is accusing the media of doing today. Look, nobody is responsible for undermining the credibility of the media but the media themselves!

There's just as much accusation that Trump and his press corp- Breitbart/Blaze etc.- are just as FOS, if not more. So, I like having a variety. Besides, truth be told, they are all FOS anyway.

I don't hate him. I just think he's a narcissistic egomaniac who loves the adulation and can pander with the best of them. I think they elected him to be the center of attention- Mission Accomplished.
He's kept his promises? The ACA is still in place. There's no wall at the Mexican border that Mexico has paid for. His travel ban was pulled. And, he is basically at war with the media and most of the legislative branch. I don't think his supporters are growing in number. He's not converting anyone. He's not really done anything except remind people of his electoral college numbers and the millions of illegal voters he claims undermined his popular vote victory.

I'll give you the ACA until it's done -- I've tried to pay attention to this one, and from what I have gathered, they are trying to do it the right way (contrary to what the media would have you believe).
I'm not sure how anyone could think the wall of that size could be completed within a month. But everything I've seen here is that construction will begin in the very near future. But I'll give you this one too, pending that start.
I don't buy the center of attention -- that dude has lost so many people in his corner simply by running...that notion here makes absolutely no sense. If anything, he's alienated himself from the folks who used to bow down to him. He was instant ratings for NBC...not they want nothing to do with him. So, I have to call BS on this one.
