Hit and run this time. If this was a UNC player, local media would be calling for Fedora to be fired. Doreen should be held responsible. Of course, he will not. I am sure they will finally kick him off the team because they have now figured out they have plenty of running backs. What a joke.

It is a conspiracy headed by Swofford. They set up that poor boy to do it - they entrapped him.

I don't so much mind the incident as much as I do the fact he left the scene and did not assist his fellow Wolfpack student.

And on top of that the student saying he holds no ill will towards Thornton. Well, we all know why that is. You don't exactly feel that way when someone leaves the scene. You can if he stops and helps you up and all that good stuff. The student has no backbone and is towing the line so he doesn't have to hear it from his own. Cut and dried.

Did it involve kicking a chick's ass?

I can think of one prominent NFL'er who went to UNC who also fled the scene of an accident while he was at UNC. So tread lightly on this one.

Not ringing a bell, but whoever it was deserves the same shame. It's about being a human being b4 the name on the jersey.

It's different than that. Shad has had more than he deserved in chances. He should have been kicked off the team the last time. I'm not sure he can even get in the NFL with his back ground now. Imagine him with 3 million in the bank hanging around all his "new found " friends that are hanging on for the ride. With his mindset he has no chance.

Bump that. He's a thug who has been a thug since day 1. Only difference this year is they have a decent backfield rotation without the thug, so he's gone.
Not saying the situations are the same AT ALL, because they aren't.

I'm not really irked by the crime, just the lack of "blowing it up" the N&Blow will do.

heard a completely different story than what you guys have heard, maybe...i need to read the report to see if it conflicts.

one thing we do agree on, he's a repeat jackass and should be suspended.

C'mon, let's hear it, GTee . .

Yeah, because the NFL is a league full of choir boys. Were you serious with that post? If he's good enough, someone will take him.
He's not good enough. We just remember how good we made Brisket and he look last year. We also made Rutgers RB's look like Gale Sayers.

Not so fast. NFL scouts know that people that get into trouble are financial liabilities. Otis has a point. Also, imagine him with $3 mil in the bank and the clinger-ons. Recipe for disaster. I'm picturing a Porsche in a swimming pool.

I feel for the teammates he let down. It is not like this particular incident makes him a bad person, just shows what an IDIOT he is... seriously. You have the world by the ballz and you do THIS? Add that with the previous issues and NFL scouts see character issues beyond the idiocy. His career is over.

However, I was impressed with his public statement. Hopefully he will find a peaceful life beyond football.

The backfield is decent at State but this is a huge loss for the team...

I'm all for giving guys a second (and sometimes a third) chance, but this dude has had 6 or 7 chances? How convenient that the wolpfack no longer needs him this season when they have some depth at RB, isn't it?
