Definitely a troll pick by Trump. I'm assuming all the people who said RFK wasn't coming out in support of Trump for a spot in Trump's administration will admit they were wrong.
A troll pick... for the director of HHS. America is going to be so great. I hope Hulk Hogan and Kid Rock get in there somehow. Idiocracy come to life.

It's definitely dumb, but most of these picks don't really matter. Anything dumb they can do can either be fixed quickly or has no meaningful impact. The ones that bother me are the military and intelligence positions. Those are positions that can **** up the country for decades.

Serious question. I've seen the trolling above about RFK in general and the implication he wants diseases such as polio to be allowed to again attack our populace. In these very same pages, I have talked about his oddities and weirdness factor with regard to the whole bear in Central Park thing. However, other than him not playing ball by supporting Biden and choosing to primary him, then go independent, what has he really done or said that makes you so dismissive of him?

And, just to be clear, I'm not referring to the general campaign talking point claims of things like he is anti-vaccine, etc. That's no different from claiming orange is a racist because he talked about very fine people who are white supremacists - a media fabrication. He is definitely an odd duck, but that doesn't make him wrong about the relationship between big pharma/big agriculture and our health and food. @blazers and I had a discussion about this awhile back where it had been pointed out that the pesticide levels in UK food were way too high, particularly compared to the rest of Europe which had resulted after their withdrawal from the EU who has different standards. How is this type of look at this stuff and the perspective of questioning what we are putting into our bodies not a good thing? Crazy or not.

One last thing, I recognize that he is persona non grata for the D's and anyone who supports them at this point, but RFK was one of the finalists for Obama's cabinet and almost got appointed as head of the FDA. Am I supposed to believe he just went bat shit after he didn't get appointed?

He might claim he isn't anti-vaxx, but he walks and talks like someone anti-vaxx. This isn't media fabrication.

I love the angle that RFK would attack big pharma and the food industrial complex.

It's funny that Trump and proj25 have been running on anti-regulation, but you have an RFK who wants to regulate, but I like the push & pull and checks & balances that could find a happy medium for strong economy without poisons in our food and bodies.

I'd love to ban pesticides, i'd love to ban ultraprocessed foods. It would be a healthier America - but those moves could drastically F up America's food chain at the same time. It needs to be done in a phased, smart manner. Good luck on that part, but he needs to stay away from proven vaccines.

Oh, @pooponduke other reason people think he's cranky is the environment stuff. He's extreme. He wants to shut-down nuclear power plants, despite this yielding more fossil fuels. He wants to jail the Koch Bros for being climate deniers - literally at the Hague with war criminals. But then had some other weird things to say regarding climate sci. He's kinda all over the place... seems a bit crazy.

Applauds that all his kids have been vaxxed, but is glued to the autism thing and wants to pause vaccine industry entirely.

Oh, and tied Bill Gates to covid vaxx profits and pushed the 5G stuff. He's a nut. There's a soundclip from an interview: "Today, the mechanisms are being put in place that will make it so none of us can run and none of us can hide. They're putting in 5G to harvest our data and control our behaviour, digital currency that will allow them to punish us from a distance and cut off our food supply."

There are tons of people in America who want to cleanup big pharma and the food industrial complex who are probably just as qualified, but less schizo.

@pooponduke sorry for more. Kennedy is kinda fascinating given his populist appeal and his "quirks", and the fact that he's winding up in administrative that "conservatives" voted for.

I was just googling for some sound-clips from Kennedy in case the above blurb is too short. Listen to him on Rogan. He truly believes autism is caused by vaccines, and he's wrong. There are problems with Big pharma in terms of profits, there are times when vaccines can be harmful (MORE REGULATION here would be a good thing), and to his point Big pharma shouldn't be doing the regulation, some neutral org should (but this means MORE gov). But they don't cause autism. They are more helpful than harmful.

While googling i was reminded that he STILL believes Lee Harvey Oswald was CIA and moreso believes there is good evidence the CIA murdered his father. Blames the military industrial complex for killing them both. He's looney.
