So it’s a psychosomatic deal? If you had a true food allergy, you’d break out or have another reaction with any amount of shrimp. For years my mom told people she was allergic to shrimp and shellfish until she recently owned up to just not liking them.I mean, it kinda does. Let me rephrase as I can eat shrimp if it's part of a dish. I'm not just going to sit there and peel shrimp and eat it by the handful. In dishes like shrimp and grits and shrimp scampi, the shrimp is so seasoned, that all the fishy taste is masked.
I can tell though, if I get either of those meals and there's a generous amount of shrimp, after I eat like my 5th one, I start to feel "okay, better stop" and I kinda lose my appetite after that lol.
