How about Tony Bradley an impact off the bench in the conference finals.

He was stuck in the g league for a while. The Pacers had some bigs get hurt early in the season. They kept trying out centers, giving them 10 day contracts, and then moving on to another center. They actually had Jahlil Okafor on a 10 day contract, chose not to renew it, and instead gave Bradley a 10 day contract. Then they gave Bradley a 2nd 10 day contract. Then they gave him a deal for the rest of the season.

He's a great matchup against Mitchell Robinson. And he still runs the floor like Roy taught him. He's helping to exhaust the Knicks. He had a blocked shot in the 1st quarter. He also ran the floor hard, pinned a guard in the paint, and scored easily over him. He's blocking out Robinson effectively, allowing other Pacers to grab rebounds.

That is an interesting take. He is a limited guy who has made 13 million already in his career, at age 27. Many will look at him as a prime example of why you go early.
Bradley would have been a guy under current NIL may have stayed and developed more as he got a check. First round always will be hard to pass up however.

Another one who left school too early.
No. He left school at precisely the right time, because he got drafted in the first round. He's had 8 years of pro development, which is superior to anything he'd get in college, and yet he still needed a lot of luck just to end up on a NBA roster late this season. The game has changed. The NBA doesn't value bigs like Bradley. The longer he stayed in college, the less likely he was to get drafted in the 1st round.

Yeah, 8 yrs of warming the bench. People go to tjhe NBA to play not to be a little used bench warmer. Please spare me that he`s made millions.

Respectfully, guys go to the the league for a payday that let's be honest may never happen again. Competitors always want to play, but millions to ride the bench and you know by the time your 25-26 you will be playing. Yes, I think guys will/would/do choose a paycheck over playing time all day.

Exactly, and I hope everyone can see from your answer how easy it is to respond politely to a poster who has a different opinion... nice one.

By the way, noone who suits up for the Washington Wizards is in the NBA to compete, or by week 2 of the season they aren't.... and the Hornets aren't much better.

So you think he'd have been better off staying in college and never making those millions of dollars?

You are disconnected from reality.
No fool, I`m saying if he spent another year in college the money from the NBA would still be there and you`re saying saying he wouldn`t be more prepared for the league.

You’re just wrong. More years in college usually results in a worse draft position and his improvement was likely better as a professional than it would have been in college for that year of his life…in addition to getting paid for that year.

Yeah he made a whopping 330 K this year. Only 4 NBA players made less. Hell I made more than that, you really should try doing a little bit of research before you start runnin` your mouth.

I think he meant he left school to early for us Carolina fans. Of which I agree.
He would have played a huge role the year after he left.
I personally haven't seen him in uniform since he left Carolina.

That 330 K seems to have taken his career earnings to 12.9 million, at the ripe old age of 27. Oh, and the 330,000 was his cap hit on the team, he earned 630, 752 for the season, pre playoff money.

Yikes. Angrily telling others to do some research, and then you don't even get Bradley's contract correct.

Dang, looking at his contract it seems he is due 2.9 million next year as a Pacer. Wild split for his 2 year contract with them for the salary cap. Not sure if they will retain him at that, but it will be a 1.9 million cap hit if they don't.

Wrong, he`s guatreed 330K.
He was paid 630,752 though from the Pacers to this point for this season, not the guarenteed 330, 000, if he was released . It's posted right above. 330 K plus the two 150 K checks, and the 2.9 million for next year from the back loaded 2 year contract he signed.

I also think there are still playoff checks for advancing with each round as well from the league to add this years earnings for him.

Was curious about the playoff league money, and it indeed skyrocketedthis year with an additional 79% increase due to thethe current financial gains the NBA is enjoying. Bradley's shares to this point, if only pay the 15 man roster and don't vote a portion for guys who may held a 15 man roster spot during the year for a short period of time.

24, 800 regular season 4th place
31,066 1st round
37, 866 2nd round
63,400 conference finals

An additional 157, 132 or so to this point already taking him to 787, 844 earned to this point for the year.

If they make the Finals he will earn an additional 253,333 or so if they lose, or around 533,333 if they win it all.

Hurt on a fast break in the 3rd quarter. Hasn't returned.
Yeah he got a hip strain on the fast break foul. Bent him backwards awkwardly. They need him to play against Robinson because Bryant sucks and just gets shoved out of the way. Myles is too soft to battle. Tony had been doing a decent job keeping him off the offensive boards

Game 6 will be very interesting, KAT is just an awful match for any of them, if Bridges shows up the Knicks are live road dogs.

Halliburton/Nesmith gotta take advantage of the size on Brunson on that end. I have no dog in the fight, would love to see a game 7 in the Garden though. OKC should drag either of them in the Finals.

If my numbers are correct the Tony has a positive plus minus in every game he's played this series. He's definitely the best matchup they have for Mitchell Robinson.
