Once a month... FIVE GUYS

even a vanilla milkshake

I noticed last time, in the list of flavors for milkshakes... um, bacon flavored??? I'll allow salted caramel, but bacon? NFW!

It's super rare that I eat fast food these days but back in the day, I hit them all. The Whopper was a mainstay of my diet in college. As were soft tacos and the double decker tacos from Taco Bell. If I did McDonalds (shout out to @dadika13 ), I'd do the two cheeseburger deal.

But now my fast food intake is just the Biscuitville sausage, egg and cheese biscuit, the occasional Five Guys burger and every blue moon, something from Cookout.

For me, Chik-fil-a is the only option. I love their spicy chicken sandwiches, chik fil a sauce, waffle fries, and their strawberry shakes, orange dream shakes, frozen lemonade.

I know you are talking drive-thru, but their in-store customer service is top notch too. Often give away free stuff, if for any reason your order takes a little longer, etc.

I don't even consider their chicken sandwiches such egregious unhealthy fast food, since the chicken has a decent protein to fat, salt, sugar content, compared to fast food burgers

If Chipotle or Qdoba had drive thru, their burrito bowls are great, and not that unhealthy (without the shell or wrap.

A caramel fudge milkshake with bacon in it is incredible.

Chik-Fil-A is hands-down the busiest fast food chain restaurant I have ever seen in my life.

I do love their milkshakes.

In no particular order:

Classic Chik-fil-A sandwich all the way. Does that make me a homophobe?
Fiveguys
Wendy's double
MOTHERF***IN POPEYS!!!
I'd have to think about the fifth one.

I'd also love to try In-n-out and Bojangles one of these days.

Back in the day the McDonalds had cherry pies, they were awesome. @dadika13 could we do something about this?

You guys have to work harder than that to get my secret sauce (take that in every way possible).

On Fast Food, yeah, nothing for me these days. If you call Shake Shack fast food then that's probably my one and I have that maybe 3-4 times a year.

Back in the day - Wendy's was my go to spot.

I'm sadly no longer able to eat any of these, but back when I could...
  • Wendy's double with fries and whatever drink I feel like at the time
  • Bojangles Cajun Filet Biscuit with fries and sweet tea
  • Chick-fil-A Spicy Chicken Deluxe with fries and lemonade
  • Cookout 1/4 lb burger tray with everything + cheese & bacon, bacon ranch wrap, chicken ranch wrap & sweet tea or Cheerwine
  • Zaxby's chicken finger plate
There were obviously way more, but if I were to narrow it down to five, I'd go with that.

Whats crazy is i managed for wendys and burger king. Wendys everything was fresh and top quality. Burgers pattied fresh every morning. Made to order in 7secs. Super strict cleanliness standards. Burger king patties came frozen in a cardboard box from australia. Throw them on the conveyor, thru the broiler, slap em on a bun and put under a heat lamp where they might sit 15-20 min. Nuke em if they got cold. Places were dirty. And burger king would do three times the business of wendys. People love the whopper flavor.

Biscuitville for breakfast over Bojangles

PDQ over Chick Fil-A for chicken.

Cook Out overall for the value and quality.

We are long lost family. I rarely do fast food anymore and when I do, it’s Chik Fil A. But the Whopper was my jam back in the day. Was always a BK > McD’s guy.

Childhood: McDonald's happy meal with fries and a Coke. I would eventually graduate to Big Macs but this was the starter kit.

Pre-teen: Burger King Whopper Jr. with onion rings and a Coke. I feel like my transition to manhood occurred when I could finish a full-sized Whopper.

Teenager: KFC Chicken Littles with fries and a Mountain Dew. These were not the same Chicken Littles they have today. They used to be square shaped and were served on a soft bun, almost like Kings Hawaiian rolls, with nothing but mayo and some shredded lettuce.

Young Adult: Arby's Classic roast beef with curly fries/potato cakes and a Mountain Dew. Of course their curly fries are amazing, but potato cakes are seriously underappreciated. The real draw, though, is the holy trinity of condiments: Arby's sauce, Horsey sauce, and ketchup.

Adult: Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich with mayonnaise, dipped in buffalo sauce, fruit cup, half sweet/half unsweet tea. Their waffle fries are good, but it's more food than I need and just not worth it. Sometimes I'll just skip the side entirely and get one regular chicken sandwich and one spicy chicken sandwich.
