Trump wants to help Clinton "heal"

For you Chick. 2015 numbers.

"The USA has the highest total number of immigrants, being home to 19 per cent of the world's immigrants.

This is followed by Germany and Russia, with a combined share of 9.7 per cent of the world's immigrants."

Facebook is the antithesis of enlightenment. Anything you hear there should be taken with a huge grain of salt.
I never quoted any numbers. I just said we are the laughing stock of the world right now. I was giving an opinion that I doubted anyone wanted to come here now, not an actual fact. You must be another like someone I know who takes everything VERY seriously and literally. Sighhhhhh

Agree. I really think he will upset a few of his supporters soon enough when he doesn't follow through with putting her in jail or building that wall.

Looks like he's building that wall.

Jail for the witch is still to be determined.
Just because he singed a bazillion executive orders this week, doesn't mean it will happen. The increased border patrol, drones and attempt to round up the illegals is likely though. The wall itself just doesn't make sense and will be a waste of OUR money.

1.9 billion was dedicated to the wall years ago. There's a start. And you mean Mexico's money.....cause Trump said so.

If people quit hiring illegals we wouldnt need a wall. But they do. Why? Cause they'll do the jobs noone else will. I ran a crew for the largest commercial landscaper in sc for 3 yrs. we were fully staffed with illegals. About 40 of em. Everyone knew it. They worked their asses off in sweltering heat and never once complained or called in or arrived late. One day several didnt show up cause they evidently went back to mexico. We called for temp laborers from man power. Three white guys and a black guy showed up. Keep in mind these guys were gonna make $3/hr more than the mexicans. We were laying sod. They all arrived late. Had to spend an hour explaining the intricacies of throwing a bunch of big squares on the ground. Lunch came and they all drove off and didnt come back. I remember the owner saying "thats why there'll always be illegals". Next day we had a fresh batch of mexicans.

Why do you say that? You don't think it will be effective?

I think a wall would be somewhat effective, but not as economically efficient as other potential solutions. Paying a few snipers to man guard towers along the border and shoot anything that moves coming across the border (outside of the legal border patrol/customs stations obviously) would be a quicker, cheaper, more effective solution that would guarantee no repeat offenders.

Landmines even cheaper and more efficient

It won't be. You want real results then make sure they don't have a reason to come over. The drug cartels will always find a way over so you'll only be taking away a huge part of a labor force and like heelman stated above, there will be repercussions from that loss.

Keep telling yourself that. smh. Like I said months ago, America will have to pay for the wall IF it happens. I think you guys should start a gofundme campaign and let those who truly support the wall pay for it and then wait for Mexico to pay you back. ;)

It's not a matter of illegal or legal. We use a ton of temp labor at my work and our owner makes sure the temp agency can guarantee legality of all the employees.

But yes, you're right that in general, Latinos work wayyyyyy harder than white folks and especially black folks. Sorry, not being racist, just being honest. I see it play out every single week here. The black temps we get consistently work the worst, cause the most issues, and are the worst when it comes to timeliness, dependability, etc. The white folks are a little better, but not consistently. The Latinos work the hardest and complain the least.

Latinos work harder than whites =/= racist
Whites work harder than blacks = racist

Yepp it is. I guess it stems from the fact that the latinos we see are the ones so motivated to make money that they leave their homes and families and come Here knowing its gonna be hard manual labor. That weeds out the lazy ones for sure. In contrast the temp laborers are ftmp ones too freaking lazy to fill out resumes and get out there and really look for a job (nevertheless go to another country to pick apples) or get a high school education. So the sample is skewed.

I'm in favor of spending as much as we need to secure the borders and eliminate illegal immigration. As I've stated, I'm for eliminating immigration all together for the time being. Shut down the borders completely. We do not have the resources to sustain it.

Yeah me and you agree strongly on this. Cull ALL immigration. That includes international student visas. Get rid of those.

That is so shortsighted it's unbelievable that not one, but two people have now said it with (I assume) a straight face. Do you have any idea how many of our best and brightest scientists, doctors, tech engineers, you name it, are here in the U.S. rather than their home countries because they came here for education? We have a lot of homegrown talent and that's great, but why is it a bad thing to recruit the best the rest of the world has to offer over to our team?

I think it's great that brilliant minds come to the US to get educated. I just think they should do so fully at their own expense (private school) as opposed to benefiting from government funding at a public school. Also, a public school slot would be taken from a US born student.

All I heard back in Bernie's campaign was how inner-city kids, and kids from disadvantaged backgrounds weren't getting a fair crack at a college education. And now you want to bring in more competition from around the world to take their spots in addition to the competition they already have in the country?

I don't claim to know the details, but I imagine public universities have a pretty low cap for international students. And that there is lots of competition for those spots. I think it's a good thing for the U.S. and the world to bring in those top students to get a first-class education, and hopefully stay here to work and develop whatever it is that they're doing. Bottom line, yes, I firmly believe bringing international students to the U.S. and providing international educational opportunities for U.S. students is a yuge net positive.

Is there some sort of requirement that international students stay for X years after education to work in the US? I feel like I've heard that somewhere, but I'm not sure.

But you say "hopefully stay". If some kid from Germany comes over to the USA, takes your daughter's spot at UNC, benefits from your family's taxes via the government funding of UNC, graduates and goes back to Germany - and makes the company s/he works for there better than its American counterpart... is that a win?

No, that single highly hypothetical and presumptive scenario would not equal a "win." But in the broader sense I absolutely do believe in international education and exchange programs, and your making up one negative hypothetical doesn't change that at all.

America hasnt been "great" since we elected a Marxist community organizer in 2008. He was a cop hating, race baiting ass clown who single handedly made our country look like a bunch of thin skinned sissies to the entire world. Thankfully he was too stupid to cause much damage to our way of life, other than his garbage health care plan, which thankfully is named after him and will be an albatross around his neck forever.

Trump may or may not make America "great" ... but there is only one direction to go based on who preceded him.

You're still not very familiar with Marxism, I see.

Just basing it on his upbringing, his chosen friends, who he admits influenced his beliefs and policies ...oh, and then his actions ... other than that, nope, I have no proof.

Enjoy his very own words:

So, if I listen to Dennis Prager(which I do, regularly ), I'm a right wing conservative?
Did he raise you, feed you, walk with you through the biggest moments of your upbringing ... do you and Dennis eat together frequently, attend meetings and conventions together .. do you collaborate on articles and seek input from each other before making decisions. If so to some or most of those things, then it would be hard not to label you as someone who follows, admires and strives to live out the same ideals as Dennis Prager.

Where in that clip you provided was there any mention of being raised by a Marxist?

You're the king of circular arguments, I'm the king of ignoring circular arguments. I have a personal belief that Obama, based on his immediate family members who were Communists and who raised him and based on who he chose to emulate, quote and seek guidance from as a young adult, has strong Communist/Marxist leanings ... you will never change my mind and I will never change yours. So be it. I'm just glad he's gone.

He sucks at Marxism if that's what he is trying to be.
