UNC Expecting to Get a Visit From Tre Holloman

We need Catchings, Stevenson, and another guard. Would be top 3 in country then imo.
I think getting Catchings would eliminate Stevenson who is looking for a starting role and he does not start at UNC, if Catchings starts at UNC it will be at the 3 with Wilson at the 4. Love the versatility of moving Wilson and Catchings between the 3 and 4 spots seamlessly. Important with all the switching Hubert wants on the defensive end. I as well think, unless High enters the portal he slots in at the 4, especially if he has polished up his jump shot be seemed to believe in.

When I look at our back court (point and 2 guard spots) I see Seth, Evans, Dixon, and Denis with the addition of Drake if he were to come back. I think Dixon is legit and he is transitioning to the point. Denis is a version of Ian Jackson, electric rangy guy, added a better than expected jump shot out past the trey range, no he is not as raw talented as Jack but he has serious defensive tools, rangy for a 6'4" guy as Ian is.

If Drake does not stay in this next draft it will be because the NBA is telling him he needs to jump shoot more consistently and his ball handles needs honing, I think the NBA will look at him as a 2 so the 2 is likely where he would want to play if he returned to us.

I would like to see, if we added anyone past Catchings, maybe a 7ft 260lbs big man that may have played in the New England area for a strong coach or a guy like the Arky big man, Illic (sp).

So if, as being reported, paid Evans North of $2M, is it safe to assume Holloman is off the table?

where was this reported at? or is it just people on Twitter/other message boards speculating the $$$ amount

i find it hard to believe we’d give Kyan Evans $2 million. of course i could be totally wrong as well…

i like his game and his shooting but he’d be our highest “paid” player at that price correct?

Some random Minnesota fan made that claim on the IC free board. There's no way that it's true. Just Minnesota fans inventing a reason they missed on their top target.

You have just as much knowledge as they do you blowhard.

Those two separate posters at least claimed to know Evans and the family. Didn't come across as, "look at me" type posts, rather surprised when each confirmed what the other had heard. I have no idea the validity, just that it was being reported.

It would make sense why he'd commit w/o a visit (paired with the pending Holloman visit)? It does seem like a lot but it was also a "can't miss" need. Maybe they learned their lesson last year after all?

I don't think we paid him anywhere close to $2mil, $700K to $1mil maybe but that would be upper end.
