I love the way it sounds, but I'm more interested in how it looks. And I can hardly wait. I went from pretty much giving up on ever having football relevance here to suddenly finding myself once again dreaming of a team full of the top shelf individual talent that has graced the field at Kenan, led by a coach who knows what to do with it.

'UNC football' itself is too easy to parody. Know how I know that? It's because I've been seeing it parodized for too many years. Let me dream a little, the reality is too hard to swallow anymore.
It certainly looks like real life to me. Every aspect of the program has changed and I believe for the better. I don't know what being the 33rd pro team really means, but I love the excitement. relevance, and the fact that the recruitment footprint has grown exponentially! How long has it been since the Tar Heels were top of mind for media, top recruits, and fans? The staff Coach has put together seems to have a depth of knowledge that spans both college and Pro ball and it is clear that recruits are taking notice!

I'm not going to allow my expectations to get away from me in terms of W's and L's in the upcoming season, but please let me see good fundamental football being played, and let me see players being developed, for starters. Let me see us consistently play up to the level we're capable of. I won't expect a national championship until year two of Belichick. Then after that we can start scheduling NFL teams
