• Carolina won its fourth straight for the second time this season (also Jan 4-15) and won back-to-back road games for the second time.
• The Tar Heels are averaging 90.5 points in the last four games. Prior to Syracuse, UNC scored more than 75 points once in its previous seven games.
• Carolina outrebounded the Seminoles, per KenPom the second-tallest team in the nation, 35-21. Florida is the only team to outrebound FSU by a larger margin this season (47-29).
• This is the third time since at least 1960 the Tar Heels have outrebounded three consecutive ACC opponents by 14 or more (UNC was plus 19 vs. NC State, plus 14 vs. Virginia and plus 14 at FSU). UNC also accomplished that in 1991 and 2011.
• The Tar Heels grabbed 13 offensive rebounds that generated a season-high 24 second-chance points (previous high was 22 vs. Elon).

• Carolina outscored the Seminoles, 24-6, on second-chance points. Over the last three games (NC State, Virginia and FSU), Carolina has outscored its opponents, 62-21, on second-chance points.
• The 24 second-chance points were UNC’s most since the 2022 NCAA title game vs. Kansas, when the Tar Heels had 28.
• In the first half, Carolina had eight offensive rebounds (FSU had six defensive) and scored 16 second-chance points. The Seminoles did not score a second-chance point.
• The Tar Heels improved to 10-2 this season when they have more second-chance points.
• For the third consecutive game, UNC held an opponent to 21 rebounds, tying the season low and fewest vs. a Hubert Davis-coached team.

• Carolina is plus 47 on the boards in the last three games.
• Led by Elliot Cadeau’s game-high seven and RJ Davis’ five, the Tar Heels had 18 assists, tying its season high in an ACC game (Wake Forest).
• Carolina shot 55.2% from the floor, the 10th time the Tar Heels made at least 50% this season (UNC 9-1 in those games).
• UNC shot 54.8% in the first half and 55.6% in the second. It was the sixth time the Tar Heels shot at least 50% in both halves.
• Carolina has shot 50% from the floor in six of its last seven halves.

• Carolina has shot 50% from the floor in at least one half in eight of the last nine games.
• Carolina has shot 48% or better in each of the last four games and five of the last six (and won all five).
• Six Tar Heels scored in double figures for the second time this season (six in the loss at Kansas).
• Carolina made 10 3FGs, the seventh time this season it made 10 or more. The Tar Heels are 6-1 when they made at least 10 3FGs.
• The Tar Heels shot 38.5 from three (10 of 28) and improved to 16-4 when it makes at least 30% from three.

• UNC went 22 for 31 from the free throw line. Carolina improved to 6-2 this year when it makes 20 or more free throws.
• The 31 FT attempts were the most in a regulation-length game since UNC went 24 for 35 vs. UCLA on December 21.
Florida State shot 54%, the second time UNC has defeated an opponent shooting over 50% this season (Boston College shot 54.5%).
• Florida State shot 54.0% from the floor. It was the second time this season Carolina beat a team that shot 50% (Boston College).
• It was the first time UNC won by double digits when an opponent shot 50% from the floor since a 113-96 win over NC State on 2/5/2019.
• Carolina scored 49 points in the first half. The Tar Heels have scored 45 or more points in the first half in each of the last three games (54 vs. NC State, 46 vs. Virginia and 49 at FSU). Prior to the NC State game, UNC had scored 45 or more points in two first halves this season (51 vs. Elon and 46 vs. Boston College).

• FSU shot 62.5% from the floor in the first half, the highest percentage by an opponent in any half this season.
• RJ Davis led UNC with 20 points and had five assists and no turnovers. Davis (2,592) passed Wake Forest’s Dickie Hemric (2,587) for third in ACC career scoring. UNC’s Tyler Hansbrough and Duke’s JJ Redick are the only ACC players with more points.
• This was the third time this season (also Elon and Boston College) and sixth time in his career Davis had at least 20 points and five assists without a turnover.
• It was Davis’ 44th career 20-point game (UNC 34-10) and his team-best ninth this season (UNC 7-2).
• Davis made three 3FGs. He passed Virginia Tech’s Hunter Cattoor (332) and tied NC State’s Scott Wood for sixth in ACC career threes (334).

• Davis was a game-high plus 20, his best plus/minus since he was plus 26 vs. Cal.
• Seth Trimble scored 17 points, his most since he had 18 vs. Boston College. UNC is 12-7 when Trimble scores in double figures.
• Jalen Washington (10 points) scored in double figures for the fifth time this season (UNC 5-0).
• Ven-Allen Lubin scored in double figures (10 points) for the third-straight game for the first time as a Tar Heel.
• Jae-Lyn Withers (11 points) has 54 points in the last four games, his most in any four-game stretch as a Tar Heel. He has made a three in four straight games for the first time as a Tar Heel (he made a three in four games in all of last season).

• Cade Tyson was 3 for 5 from the floor in the first half. Those were the most field goals he made in a game since he was 9 for 14 from the floor vs. La Salle on December 24. He has 15 points in the last three games (he had 13 from December 17-February 15).
• Drake Powell had three assists, the third time in the last five games he had three. He has 13 assists and one turnover in the last six games.
• Hubert Davis is 96-42 in four seasons, including 54-23 in regular-season ACC games.

UNC-Florida State
• The Tar Heels improve to 54-16 vs. Florida State, including 20-8 in the Tucker Center. UNC has won six in a row against the Seminoles, including three straight in Tallahassee.
• Carolina’s 96 points equal its second-highest total at Florida State. UNC scored 106 on 1/4/2016 and also scored 96 on 2/27/1992.
