CHAMPAIGN, ILL. – The Big Ten Network announced today that the Fighting Illini football home game versus North Carolina at Memorial Stadium on Sept. 10, 2016, will be televised in primetime starting at 6:30 p.m CT.
The game is the back end of a home-and-home series with North Carolina. Last season, the Tar Heels won 48-14 in Chapel Hill and UNC leads the all-time series 3-0. The only other meeting in Champaign between the Illini and Tar Heels came in 1971, a 27-0 UNC victory.
