I noticed that pinch post offense, didn’t know what it was called. Very effective and a thing of beauty to see.
Yep, and that's actually more effective than when Theo is with the ball at the top. Since he's little threat to shoot from deep, defenders slough when he's up there.
On the other hand, post him lower at what we used to call "Short-17", (i.e. the elbow "pinch-post" as others call it) as shown in the video, and Theo turns into Meadowlark Lemon. Perfect fit for him.
This also worked particularly well vs State because they were vertical switching, and Theo was often working over a smaller guy.
Don't mind Theo have that kind of role, just as long as he doesn't become the prick that D Green is!
Never happen with Theo. That guy is genuine.
Like Gary said, that pinch post role is perfectly suited to Theo’s skill set. I hope we see a lot more of it in our half court sets.
