I really wish I had better intel on James Brown and High, are they putting on good weight. If I could know that at least 1 of the 2 would come in around 225-235lbs I would feel much better, in my mind they are both just to thin to play thru physicality deep in the paint, that is the very same problem we had with Jalen, Veesaar needs more help than that. There is of course Lubin but we just came off a season where every big man we faced seemed to hurt us because they towered over Lubin and JWash just could not bring the consistent work down low. As I said many times in Roy's last season, I want Sharpe, Bacot, and Kessler over Brooks.
JB just seems like he works so hard and is so willing to be coached. This makes me optimistic! (shocker) Every report I have heard about High is he is working his tail off to build strength and add some more skill to that high motor! I guess we will see. Veesaar, Lubin, Caleb, JB, and High gives us enough to assume we will have a pretty strong 4/5 rotation.
Zayden High was listed at 6’9” 225 last year as a freshman. Not sure how accurate the weight was but I’d assume he’s at least the same or more currently
What happened to the Sahratian 25 freshman UNC frosh were supposed to put on? If that's the case High should be about 250 now.
James showed me a good deal more than I expected, 20lbs more on his frame could be game changing, that and a couple of go to scoring moves.
When High played for us as a frosh he looked to me to be 195-205lbs, rail thin, saw a glimpse of him over the summer, didn't look to me anywhere close to 225lbs. I don't know what he weighs in at now or last summer, sometimes it i shard to tell with a kid that needs weight added as much as he did. I could buy James as 215-220 this past season.
