• Carolina has won three in a row for the second time this season.
• The Tar Heels improve to 20-6 vs. NC State in the Lenovo Center and 70-48 vs. NC State in Raleigh.
• Carolina has not lost consecutive games against the Pack since 2003.
• The Tar Heels have won 23 straight games when allowing fewer than 70 points.
• Jalen Washington scored the game-winning basket, blocked a last-second shot to preserve the win, grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds and posted his first career-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds (and a game-high three blocks).
• Washington has 12 blocks in the last three games, the most by a Tar Heel in three games since Brice Johnson had 13 against Florida Gulf Coast, Providence and Indiana in the 2016 NCAA Tournament.

• Washington had six offensive rebounds (two more than his previous high).
• Washington’s go-ahead and winning dunk with 24 seconds to play came off Elliott Cadeau’s 11th assist.
• It was UNC’s first game-winning field goal with under 30 seconds to play since Pete Nance scored with 17.7 seconds remaining to beat Syracuse, 1/24/2023.
• Washington’s 12 rebounds are the most by a Tar Heel this season.
• Cadeau is the first Tar Heel to have multiple games with at least 10 assists in the same season since Theo Pinson in 2017-18.
• Cadeau is the first Tar Heel with three games of at least 10 assists in his career since Kendall Marshall had 23 games with 10 or more assists from 2010-12.

• Cadeau’s 11 assists are the most by a Tar Heel vs. NC State since Marshall had 13 on 2/11/2012.
• Ian Jackson led all scorers with 21 points, 16 of which came in the second half. He has 31 points in the second halves of the last two games (15 vs. SMU).
• It was Jackson’s fifth 20-point game in the last six games and his sixth 20-point game of the season. He has the most 20-point games by a UNC freshman since Cole Anthony had nine in 2019-20.
• Jackson made a season-high five threes, the most by a Tar Heel freshman since Kerwin Walton hit five vs. Louisville on 2/20/21.
• Jackson is the first Tar Heel freshman to make multiple threes in six straight games since Walton’s nine-game stretch in 2020-21. Jackson has made at least one 3FG in each game he has played this season (the only Tar Heel to do that).

• Jackson has scored 139 points in the last six games, the second most ever by a Tar Heel freshman in any six-game stretch (Harrison Barnes scored 140 over six games in 2010-11).
• RJ Davis handed out his 500th career assist, becoming the 13th Tar Heel and first since Marcus Paige with 500 or more assists.
• Carolina was 4 for 8 from the free throw line. The four free throws were the fewest in a win since UNC made two vs. Michigan on 12/1/21.
• Carolina’s 63 points were its fewest this season and the fewest in any game and a win since beating Virginia, 54-44, on 2/24/2024.
• The 63 points were Carolina’s fewest in beating NC State since a 60-52 win in Raleigh on 1/28/2001.
• The Tar Heels led, 26-20, at the half. The 46 combined points were the fewest in a first half between UNC and NC State since the teams combined for 41 in the first half of the 1998 ACC Tournament quarterfinals in Greensboro.

• The 26 points were the fewest UNC has scored in any half this season.
• NC State’s 20 points were the fewest allowed by the Tar Heels in any half this season and were the fewest scored by the Wolfpack in any half this season.
• The two-point win is Carolina’s narrowest over NC State since defeating the Wolfpack, 81-79, on 1/14/2015.
• UNC held NC State to 22.5% shooting from the floor in the first half, the second-lowest shooting percentage in a half this season by an opponent (American shot 14.7% in the second half).
• UNC shot 38.7% from the floor in the first half and 48.3% in the second. It was the 16th time in 17 games the Tar Heels shot a better percentage in the second half than the first.

• UNC scored 11 more points in the second half than it did in the first (26/37). It was the 15th time in 17 games UNC has scored more points in the second half than the first.
• NC State shot 15.8% from three, the lowest 3FG percentage by an opponent this season.
• NC State grabbed 16 offensive rebounds, equaling the most by an opponent this season (Florida).
• This was the first time Carolina has allowed 10 or more offensive rebounds in four straight games since 2019-20 (Florida State, Syracuse, Duke, and Notre Dame).
• Hubert Davis is 47-18 in ACC regular season games.
