I will gladly take a 1 point win. Gonna be a VERY tough game with Carolina as an obvious underdog
Another stern test, but we have a pretty good average so far. I'm hoping we come out aggressively and attack the basket with drives and cuts. We need to thin out their bigs a bit so fouls could be our friend! This is another opportunity for our youngsters to experience the hostility of an ACC home court and the intensity of an ACC team at home! The vets know what it will take to win and I expect them to help the youngsters figure it out. This type of test will pay dividends in the Tourney.

After watching some of the game FSU played against dook I tend to agree that they may be the better team right now. The only thing that cost them a win in derm was really piss poor coaching by Hamilton, who happens to be really good at losing games they should have won. The last 10 minutes of that game with dooks bigs in foul trouble Hamilton refused to attack dooks wide open zone and bailed their bigs out by launching 3's .. they should have attacked and forced dooks bigs to play defense. May well be coaching that determines the outcome Wednesday night.
I totally disagree that FSU has a talent edge, but in any case the coaching will definitely off set any perceived advantage! FSU should have beaten puke, but this does not mean they are better than us; it could mean puke is worse than advertised! They do have some excellent shooters, length, and athleticism and can play at a high level. I believe we match up well with them, but we will see.
This should be another fun game and I expect us to pull out the win at the end!

Really tough game for us. As long as we are competitive all game, I am find with any result. Time for our Freshman bigs to earning there keep.
I said they might be a better team right now .. but in no way do they have an edge in talent. We just haven't been playing very well lately and we currently have an exploitable hole in the middle .. that said i expect to see the intensity level much better this game which is a big time part of the UNC game !

I watched a chunk of FSU vs Duke in the first half.
They looked like a team fully capable of smacking us.
OTOH, they played mostly against zone and weren't particularly bothered by it. So that gives me hope. As long as we bring the necessary intensity on D.
They like to run and are very fast. We are faster as a team but they have some guys with serious afterburners.
Like us they have some green height but often play small. Will be a good test for both green front lines.
Who guards Cofer? Whoever it is will have his work cut out for him. I'm guessing Theo and Cam switch off on him. Or maybe Brooks. I think he will be a handful for either Maye or Brooks. Cam is the right size but is he quick enough?
Pomeroy's average height rating - which I believe factors in playing time - has them 0.6" taller.
Duke creamed them on the boards 53-35. Yikes! And FSU is rated as a pretty good rebounding team. We're better, but they are pretty good.
I expect to see our bigs early but unless one of them has a particularly good outing, I won't be surprised if we go small a lot in this game.
