UNC vs NC STATE GAME THREAD

Awful quick turnaround, especially for the guys playing over 30 minutes in a high intensity game last night. Theo maybe most of all; from doing the heavy lifting of rooting out much bigger bodies to make entries difficult in the post.

I kinda expect that our guys will come out emotionally flat. But hopefully they withstand that first 4-5 minutes, and settle in to whip that moo arse.

I have a feeling our guys got their mojo back. I hope we make them pay for their one win every five years. I cannot stand State fans they are rude, classless and they don’t consider us their rivalry either. That makes since. We own them 154-78. Joel wasn’t being disrespectful when he said he doesn’t consider State. a Rivalry. It’s not even close. He was just being truthful.

This game won't be easy after a hard fought win in the biggest rivalry game in either college or pro sports. Hopefully they will seek some payback and bring their A games.

Go Heels!

I really think we get this one, Ol’ Roy is gonna be fired up (I would actually love to have him on the floor for us today, okay maybe not, lol) and our guys are just gonna feed off of it. Joel didn’t make that comment about State just to make it, I expect him to fully back it up and our Heels are gonna follow suit. Another big game from K3nny with that big ole smile as he knocks down threes would be great too. Theo being able to drive and get into the lane like last time will really be key for us, we need the Aggressive Swiss Army Knife today!!
It’s time to steal State’s Brownies, shut up some state fans and celebrate on Frankin Street!!

It will be hard to beat them if our guys still have a hangover like I do.

JK, but can they rev it up again this quickly? That's what we will find out.

Meanwhile, State has it's own questions to answer:

1. Is Keatts a good rematch coach?

2. Can they muster the necessary urgency to beat a team they already beat?

3. The just lost @ Va Tech. Ending a 3-game winning streak. Does that make them more dangerous or less?

We have some evidence on the rematch question. They've played Clemson and Notre Dame twice. In each case they lost the first game and won the rematch. True, both rematches were at home. But so is this one.

We should win, but we can't afford any letdowns.

Will we go small as much this game as we did last time?

Despite being an OT game, Brooks only played 15 minutes and Manley only played 5 in our last State game.

Against Duke, Garrison played 12, while Manley only played 4.

Huff got no minutes in either game.

I seem to notice a pattern.

Will we see more of Seventh in this game? With the short turnaround, Berry could probably use the help. Plus, if 7th is feeling good, maybe he can disrupt M.Johnson some. Markell proved himself a good assist man in our last game.

I keep worrying that "this will be the game" that Abu starts looking like the old Abu. I still haven't a clue why he isn't more effective this season.

hard to believe that over the 600 plus posts at DI during the UNC/Duke game that the score was not listed even once but instead a massive amount of heat on Duvall for his BONEHEAD turnovers and fouls and his tweet of his dunk. Good to see we are not the only fan base when frustrated say and write STUPID things without thinking in the heat of the moment.

Yeah, they were really upset with Duvall over the tweet right after the game. It seems like a lot of them are also getting tired of the OAD's and want to go back to recruiting long-term players who will develop over time. In other words, they want to be like UNC. Imagine that!

Berry a short jumper 9-7 from the right puts Carolina up at the 16 minute tv break. Do not know if UNC can keep up this tremendous defensive pressure for the entire game but so far it has been GREAT.
