Like I said after the UVA game "was there ever a question that they was going to make a shot to win it?"
no one outside of brooks next year is gonna see the court so not sure it matters
This was different, offensive rebound. Happens to the best of them. Saturday wss different story, just very poor defensive judgement.
Yeah, next year is basically a brand new team, and the guys that are forced into these end of game situations this year will either be gone or on the bench during crunch time. The new guys will win and build off a new confidence. The stench from this season will be long gone.
Yeah, it wasn't quite the same... but, it looked almost exactly the same. It's getting really difficult to watch anymore.
Losing 6 games in a row. For me, it's getting to be depressing and stressful. I cannot even imagine how it is for the players and coaches.
Nah... Louisville has lost 2 road games back-to-back. This is a home game for them, and they have to stop their skid. It won't be pretty.
I, frankly, don't know if this team has another win in them. It's gotten that bad.
I saw the usual stupid turnovers and mistakes when it mattered most. Just dumb basketball.

That's just a crazy-ass statistic! It makes me think that the pendulum swing could equal an undefeated season, ACCT and NCAAT championship
These guys have no confidence that they can close it out, which leads to panic and poor decisions in crunch time.
I dont know what else to think since they seemed to play with enough smarts for 90% of the game. Just those last few minutes, the doubt sets in and they panic. No one wants the ball. Then Cole either tries to be the hero or is forced into it since no one else will step up. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Most are going to say it was these low IQ players that aren't gifted enough which leads to blown double digit leads with mere minutes to go. And next year is going to be totally different. So if next years team gets off to a slow start, will they be low IQ? Obviously, talent is not an issue, next year.
Carolinas staff/players have a missing link. Both sides feel they are giving their all. The link is the players are being "told" what to do, they are not being "taught". Its obvious in the multitude of individual fundamental errors every outing. This staff has to look at their methodology(unless they are ok with it taking 3 years to understand). Just one example of game in game out mistakes is Bacot always sets illegal screens. Many not called. Bacot is fundamentally unprepared for his position.

Very true. But this goes back to what Roy learned from Dean and what he still adheres to. That theory relied on the percentages that the further the shot, the more likely it wasn't going in. They constantly give up threes giving ground on a fake to.ptotecr against the drive. And it is made even worse this year by this teams total lack of lateral quickness. I still flash back to years ago. Everyone in the building knew Austin Rivers was going to shoot the three, but he took a jab step and Tyler Zeller took.two steps back to protect against a non existent drive and Rivers buries the three. But this years team is just proof that sometimes all that can go wrong, does go wrong. You have a team that isnt very talented. Has about the lowest basketball IQ of any UNC team I have ever seen. And you have had a ton of injuries. I just hope this experience just doesnt take everything out of Roy.
bingo. Referees, snake bitten, yada yada yada. All bullshit reasons for yet another melt down over the last 5 minutes of a winnable game. Brooks and Leaky with bad passes for turnovers on key possessions late. Bacot can’t throw it in the damn ocean and then commits a moving screen. Defensively we are just stupid guys, literally stupid.

leaky had one of his better games tonight but again in crunch time when good players make plays, he completely left his man in a scramble situation which is a NO NO when up 2. Worst thing you can do is leave your man on the 3 point line and he did. What a ****ing idiot. Honestly, I wouldn’t be sad to see every kid on this team go, from the first seat on the bench to the last. Same results, but we continue to find new ways to lose and it’s always a different cast of idiots screwing it up.
you are smart then Space. It’s been bad, real bad. We could write a book on 101 ways to lose a basketball game in the last 5 minutes.

yeh honestly if I’m a ND fan and he misses the shot and they don’t get that call I’m pissed. It wasn’t even close.
