UNCs White House visit ...

My opinion and my opinion only:

Roy Williams and the players should have tried harder to "find a date that works for everyone" and should've visited the White House. It's one day out of your lives. It reflects poorly on the university, and by extension, its alumni, when the team declines to attend. The optics of this look bad because Williams/UNC used the same reasoning not to attend the Bush White House in 2005, but were able to find the time to squeeze in a visit to the Obama White House in 2009. Some things are bigger than politics.

Others will disagree, and you're fine to do so. Go Heels

No one with a brain believes the "couldn't find a date" BS, but at least if they're going to pull this stunt - I'm glad they made up an excuse as opposed to using it as a chance to grandstand.

I don't really care if they go or not, but I do feel bad if there are kids on the team that wanted to go have the honor of being received in the White House by the POTUS, that didn't get to go because of the coach and schools politics. If it was unanimous to not go, then by all means don't.

I just told you the team decided. Don't let that fact get in the way of your cool argument though.

Just no. Y'all all need to stop taking heelswin's poasts seriously. I'm kinda surprised.

Seriously, the visit would have been great PR for Tar Heel Basketball, esp with good ol dookie at home in derm!!! Kinda looks like we agree with all the trash being said about us! Going would have been seen as us fighting back!!! Just another missed opportunity! Roy could have slipped in a comment like ...'nothin could be fina than Carolina basketball'
