FWIW, DraftExpress has Meeks being selected in this year's draft and only 4 spots behind Justin Jackson. Also, notable that Brice Johnson is sitting at #50 and Marcus Paige at #53.

Well.... Udoka would have 3-4 years to continue to develop. Grad student not likely at this point (imo). Regardless, we need a true CENTER soon! Udoka would indeed be that guy...

Well I did post "if" Udoka goes elsewhere. Also dont understand the true center post since we have Bradley for 2016. I was throwing the grad transfer out there as a "what if" scenario where Alkins/Udoka both go to schools not named UNC , since we probably need another big man even if Meeks stays for 2016. Roy's track record for getting a late grad transfer is not good (only one) but Rob Harrington believes UNC will move quickly in the spring to get players if the NCAA mess is clear by April and we have open ships to give. I think it is very likely we either get a grad transfer or a player that decommits due to a coaching change in the 2016 class. Posters are being very optimistic about getting both Udoka and Alkins.

Those numbers on a #1 ranked, loaded and possible championship team ..would put him in the lottery!!

What you are forgetting is this class is pretty loaded with simmons and so on. He is looking at a more favorable draft next year for big men and I think the salaries go up also (not sure if they have rookie contracts) or not.

i would be shocked if Meeks went pro after this year. I am pulling for his success as you are all but his game will likely not translate into NBA lottery potential.

Heels need one more big and one more shooter. Hopefully they will be cleared of any wrong-doing and then be able to get a 5 star couple with the 3 4 stars. That would be a great class.

Lee's potential is higher than meeks. Meeks would go higher on production.

I know we all want our guys to come back for another year to help our team win, but if it's true with what you guys are saying about Meeks's game, why would he not leave after this season and try to make money playing in the Nba? It's not like he can fix what the Nba wants from him by playing another season of college basketball. If he can't jump high this season, good chance he won't be jumping very high next season. He might as well go ahead and try for the Nba. I could be wrong, but i believe Meeks will enter the Nba draft after this season. For Unc's sake, i hope i'm wrong. I guess we will see.
