Only 5'10 but dude is super quick, a playmaker, and can create his own shot. He shot 45.7% from 3point range in 2020....Lord-Have-Mercy! Cone and Walton would be beast!!! Great option if Love decides to leave or stay imo.

I know we may need bigs but I would take this kid in a heart beat!

Yeah sign him up to guard the pg, we can always put R.J on the 6'5" 2 guard😏
You think our defense was bad last year? Lol

I see your point but 45.7 3point range speaks for itself. Hell that type of shooting could drag Brook's sowwie butt into the league!

Was wondering what was taking so long in starting this thread when I saw he had entered the crap portal.

Averaged almost 3 3pt shots made per game! He catches the ball ready to shoot and he appears to play good D. Size only matters if the dog doesn't have enough fight!

Imagine what we could do with 2 peeps that can make multiple 3s per game!

Go Get "em Roy!

Jalen Cone is a decent player, but not UNC material. This season he averaged 9 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 turnover playing 20 minutes per game. He shot 35% from the field overall and 35% from 3. He is also tiny, about 5'9" and 160 pounds.

2019-2020 led the ACC in 3-point field-goal percentage (minimum 50 3s made) and he was seventh in the whole damn **COUNTRY** with a 45.7 clip! ALL against college level talent!! If he's not UNC material who the hell is?

This year he played in only 15games due to injury and still shot 35% field/3ball! Tiny? Decent? SMH. This kid has proven to be special with the 3ball which is exactly what we needed this year, and next year imo.

Once again.......who does he guard? Is he backup pg? If so, why would he come to Carolina? Is Davis then your backup pg? Why would he stay?
I see no possible way those two guys are on the same team next season, let alone on the same court together. JMHO

Yeah but somebody would have a tough time guarding that 46% 3ball. And btw he's not a lousy defender. He's a scrapper!

But I hear ya though, I just think its foolish not to consider the shooting abilities that this young man posses. And I don't mean to sound mean, but If this kid connects in the mid 40% range...Davis who?

HOF RW would find away to make it work.

He shot 35% overall the year. Pitiful. He's easy to guard because hes puny. Shooting is his only skilll, and he's not a great shooter

I can't defend Davis shooting % as a Freshman, that being said I don't think he will reproduce same results. Dude scored well over 3,000 points in HS and he didn't do that all on layups and freethows. He is a scorer and with experience and knowing that HE IS THE GUY, his leadership and shooting will emerge.
