Wanna know what's like living in Virginny?

Its a City of Goldsboro law . . tell me this doesn't just suck eggs.

From the article linked :

Wilber’s Barbecue is such a well-loved barbecue institution that the city of Goldsboro grandfathered it into its new air-quality controls. Owner Wilber Shirley can continue to burn wood in his pits, but when he dies, the restaurant must convert to gas cooking.

That's BS, f**k Goldsboro. Might have to start a petition for an indefinite exemption for that one. If we can get Trump to approve that one would you give him some props?

Props ? Awww, Hell NO . .

Let Wilbers just move . . I'll help them if needs be.

I love the central and southern parts of Virginia.

Its a beautiful state . . I'll grant you that NOVA isn't pretty, but, theres plenty to do here and we have some great restaurants.

Love the Shenandoah Valley in the fall.

One of the best places in the world.

Northern Virginia should just be annexed into the District of Columbia. Everything east of Route 29 and north of Route 3, excluding the Eastern Shore, should be gone. It's about as much like the rest of Virginia as Cary is like the rest of NC.

As far as the rest of Virginia- great state. I prefer it to NC for the most part.

We actually spend a lot of time around Fancy Gap. A family member has a nice cabin up there.

I didn't read all of this thread but Billy and Blue have nailed it in the few poasts of theirs I read. Billy is exactly right - Virginia is the educated South. We have ignorant rednecks too like the deep South. But we have a much higher population of higher class folks than those deep south states.

Also, to Blue's point, only NC can rival VA for diverse topography on the east coast.

I was born in NC, but I consider myself a Virginian.

I'm the reverse. I was born in Lynchburg, but have always considered Wilmington, NC to be "home." I complain a lot about VA (mostly b/c I miss NC), but in fairness, this state has a lot of things that are pretty awesome, especially the mountains.

Us edumacated southerners pronounce it Fukkin' Awesome . .

Y'all Peach State goobers don't know nuffin . . and J'oreja is gonna be the next state I kick around some.

;)
Well, considering my entire family has had roots in North Carolina (including founding the town of Banner Elk) since the early 1700s, I ain't too worried about you picking on the Peach State. I do love a lot about Georgia, but North Carolina is still king (except for The Triangle, sorry not sorry).

Banner Elk - got over 1000 people at the most recent census. Well done.

I have lots of family just south of Richmond. I lived in Petersburg from age 1 to age 6. One thing about that area is; You grow up in the shadow of the Civil War. The whole landscape... the entire STATE... is one big national battlefield, just about.
