Virginia lives by their defense. They are top four or better in the ACC in:
PPG 3rd
YPG 2nd
YPP 3TD
RYPG 4th
RYPG 4th
PYPG 2nd
PYPA 4th
RZA 2nd
RZS 2nd
3rd down conversion % 3rd

We lead in most offensive categories. The game will be decided in the trenches, as most games are, with TO’s being the deciding factor between two very evenly matched teams. Home field advantage could be huge for us in a game that will largely determine the Coastal champ. I want this one so badly I can taste it.

As usual @Raising Heel, I appreciate your contributions to the board.

Some additional random numbers for the South's oldest rivalry...

Heels lead overall 63-56-4

UVA has won the last 2; prior to that Heels had won 7 straight.

Mack was only 3-7 versus the Cavs in his first stint in Chapel Hill.

FPI gives us 53% chance to win.

UVA has lost 3 of their last 4, all road games: ND, Miami, Louisville.

Two of their wins are against W&M and ODU (and they trailed 17-0 before ODU contributed to their own demise with stupid decisions).

Versus P5 teams: they are 3-3; Heels are 4-3.

Against common opponents: they are 1-1; Heels are 2-0 (Miami, dook).
